We do see him spitting out a bite of a piece of fruit in canon, but as I speculated in the past in great detail from the one filler scene where we do see him having a light meal for a Saiyan, he could have picked some unripe fruit. (He’s new to the planet and doesn’t know how to pick out a piece of fruit that’s ready to be eaten.)
I don’t headcanon that he’s picky with food, but he does have a preference for crunchy things and likes the natural sweetness within fruits more than in candy etc. (But I HC that chocolate is rare to soldiers in the PTO so chocolate is something he likes too.)

Quartz: “I’d be happy to cook you something if you’d like!”
Broly wanted to refuse. He didn’t deserve all the kindness that people were showing him. But his stomach was screaming and his legs felt weak.
So despite his reservations, he nodded. “...Thank you.”

It always amazed Gina how two species who, on the outside, appeared very similar, were so different on the inside. The injured alien was an insectoid like Enkidu, but she had ooze where it had blood. Well, Enkidu’s blood was a bit thicker than human blood, but she wouldn’t call it ooze. It was also a dark blue, compared to the lighter one.
Gina looked to the smoldering heap that was once the alien’s ship. Now that was a sight she hadn’t seen in a while. And no one could blame her bad flying skills for this crash.
“I can keep a secret. Besides, I wouldn’t worry about my government too much. We have an understanding.” She pointed back toward the road. “I got a med kit in my car if you think you can make it there.”
I found a copy of Bubsy 3D at a thrift store once. Missing the manual, but the disc was in perfect shape. Was it worth the $4 I paid for it? Hell no, but it’s still one of my prized possessions.
That’s all that matters when you find something like that. It doesn’t have to be valuable to be treasured.

Heavy clanks of the metallic floors rang from her agile, cloven hooves. The sound was cold, hollow, unlike the chiming, golden chains and crystals that once adorned her long, slender tail. The yawning wounds stretching over her dark, speckled flesh throbbed, freshly released blood stung at the torn edges and dribbled over the clots. She huffed, her weary golden eyes turning back to take a better assessment of the damage the previous battle wrought upon her. Blood and dirt formed mats within the straggly tassel at the end of her tail. Much of it came from the poor souls that defended their land, or from the other invaders. Invaders, though the lie of calling them comrades would flow from her tongue, the true label echoed within her rengeful heart.
The moment her eyes lifted to the Medical Bay’s sign they hardened. Eden learned that survival meant masking any and all weaknesses, or at least, those she could manage to hide at the time. She stepped in, her eyes catching a glimpse of her reflection and realizing the extent of her injuries. One of her graceful, ridged horns was broken, leaving only a cracked, jagged stub behind. The large, fur-covered ear beneath the broken horn was now a tattered, limb mess. Dirty abrasions marred the black markings that flowed over her eyes and down her cheeks.
Her gaze averted from the sorry sight, and instead turned towards the other in the room. Surely this was the doctor on board. She cleared her throat in hopes to capture her attention.
“I’m here to get these patched up.”
Kadaj took a deep breath. The lush forest was unlike the other environments he had found himself in before. Unlike the harsh cold of the Northern Crater and the dry expanses of the Wasteland. He had been hiking for days, searching to no avail. Closing his eyes to centre himself, the remnant leaned against the trunk of a large tree, its canopy large and shady.
