OLIVER JACKSON-COHEN // have you met HAN SOLO yet? HE/HIM is a 34 year old CIS MALE HUMAN. they’re originally from CORELLIA and now show loyalty to UNAFFILIATED. they are best known for being a PILOT/SMUGGLER, and i hear they’re pretty NEGOTIATOR yet also STUBBORN at times; i hope they survive the galactic civil war. (JEKA, +30, PST, SHE/HER)
THE PAST
Han Solo was a male Human smuggler from the planet Corellia who achieved galactic fame as a member of the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic. Born on Corellia, he was orphaned at an early age and taken by the pirate Garris Shrike to serve on his crew. He was treated cruelly, and served Shrike for many years before escaping while in his teens. Solo became a smuggler, and fell in love with Bria Tharen, though she left him due to her duties to the Rebel Alliance. Solo then entered the Imperial Academy at Carida, serving with distinction. He was kicked out, however, when he stopped an Imperial officer from beating a Wookiee named Chewbacca with a neuronic whip for resisting capture. In gratitude, the Wookiee swore a life debt to Solo, protecting him with his life and a bond of friendship formed between the two that was unbreakable. Solo became a smuggler once again, with Chewbacca at his side. Piloting the upgraded and customized the Millennium Falcon, which he won in a game of Sabacc against Lando Calrissian, his future ally, he became known as one of the best smugglers in the galaxy. Eventually, the pair came into the employment of the Outer Rim crime lord Jabba the Hutt, who was based on the desert planet Tatooine and was the leader of the powerful Hutt Clan. Solo and Chewbacca smuggled for Jabba for many years, and Solo became Jabba's top smuggler. The smuggling duo also spent much time in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina looking for work.
THE PRESENT
Han finds himself on Naboo just as he was being chased by Imperial forces, the Falon full of goods he was smuggling for Jabba the Hut, that he had to dump when it was clear they were going to be boarded. Finding himself suddenly on Naboo and definitely not in the right time, he doing what he always does - looks to survive, get by and look out for himself.
PERSONALITY
Han fancied himself a scoundrel. But he wasn't. He loved freedom—for himself, certainly, but for everybody else in the galaxy, too. And time after time, he was willing to fight for that freedom. He didn't want to know the odds in that fight—because he’d already made up his mind that he'd prevail. And time after time, somehow, he did.
Han Solo was initially a cynical, disagreeable individual whose primary concern was gaining enough money to preserve his own life. Aside from his seemingly self-centered ways, Han was actually very loyal to his friends, and a good man, showing himself to be brave and caring. Having endured a difficult childhood as an impoverished orphan with no identity, he often felt strongly to the disenfranchised or those being oppressed.
He is someone who has no patience for speeches or memorials, and was allergic to politics and suspicious of causes. However, he also hated bullies and could never stand down when confronted with them, and when he took on a difficult mission, he was never interested in knowing the odds of success. He is resourceful, cunning, and an effective commander.
TOM ELLIS // have you met STASSAM CHAR/DARTH ASMODEUS yet? THEY are a FORTY-TWO year old NONBINARY HUMAN. they’re originally from RAXUS SECUNDUS and now show loyalty to THE SITH. they are best known for being an ART COLLECTOR/SITH LORD, and i hear they’re pretty CHARMING yet also MANIPULATIVE at times; i hope they survive the galactic civil war. (Devin, 23, EST, He/Him/His)
THE PAST
Tw: Murder
The Char Family of Raxus Secondus were well known in the artistic circles of the galaxy, having a vast collection of pieces dating back thousands of years, and being frequent patrons of several operas. The last member of the family, Stassam was no different then their forbearers when it came to this desire to cultivate this collection. They did however differ in the fact that they were also a Sith Lord.
Being missed by the Jedi Order, Stassam was found by the current reigning Dark Lord of the Sith when they were ten years old, and for the next seventeen years served under her tutelage. When they were twenty-seven during an excavation at Moraband, where after the Sith relic they required was found, they made sure their master never left the tomb again by burying her within the abandoned tomb.
During their own 15 years as the Dark Lard of the Sith Asmodeus kept the Sith hidden from the public as they believed that the Sith would be best off gaining power from the shadows, and tearing down the Jedi and the Republic from within. This was a belief they pushed to instill into their own apprentice Darth Tenebrous. To achieve they built many connections with business leaders and politicians that Stassam met at art houses, the opera, and auctions. They also began acquiring art pieces for these same people in return for favors, favors such as sell a certain mineral to this planet, vote a certain way on this bill, make sure I get a meeting with this person. Through influence the tendrils of the Sith would touch everything.
In addition to the spreading of the Sith’s influence in galactic politics, Asmodeus and Tenebrous together worked on a virus, a virus they believed would be powerful enough to cut the Jedi’s link to the force, denying them any access to their powers. It would have crippled the Jedi Order, and fulfilled the Grand Plan by destroying their credibility and their ability to interfere in any Sith plot. In addition once the Jedi were left unable to access the force, then the SIth would reveal themselves and establish themselves as the new arbiters of the Force, chosen by the will of the force. As Asmodues studied how virus would affect them biologically, they left Tenebrous to study the force itself, a task they thought simple enough for their apprentice. Despite putting over a decade into this plot, the virus would ultimately fail, and the plot would crumble.
In 100 BBY, while on route to a property they owned on Scarif, Tenebrous feeling powerful enough, and believing Asmodeus’ defense low enough after their plan fell apart and the sith wanted time to decide their next move made their own power move to eliminate their master. During the course of the fight, Tenerbous managed to get the upper hand against their master and slew Asmodeus. Tenebrous made it look as though they died in a crash and turned the Char fortune into a The Chart Art Gallery on Raxus Secondus.
THE PRESENT
Now in the present returning back to life, Stasam has seen that the Jedi Order did collapse, The Grand Plan started by Darth Bane had succeed......until it did not. They read, and studied as they came to discover Darth Tenebrous picked an apprentice, Plagueis, Plagueis chose Sidious, and Sidious rose to the office of Supreme Chancellor, had absolute power and squandered it. They had the chance for a Grand Sith Empire, and the fool let it all collapse in the span of less than 3 decades. Now that Stassam was returned to life, and they could see how horribly the Grand Plan had failed, it was time to use their place as the new reigning Dark Lord of the Sith to fix their errors. They would topple the Jedi Order and have power, but not in such a direct way. It was time to make sure the tendrils of influence grew once more for the Sith.
PERSONALITY
Stassam believes that both love and fear are tools the Sith should utilize. Why should the people fear me if I could make them love me? Besides it was much easier to get someone who loved you to do what you wanted than someone who feared you. Though fear has its purposes in the eyes of the Sith Lord. Additionally, Stassam views themself as a sophisticated being, someone who enjoys art and culture of all the species of the galaxy. Stassam is also a big believer in free love, and through their life has had many partners, all of them they cared for in their own ways. Stassam believed that as a Sith it was their duty to get to experience every joy, every feeling that the Jedi could not. For in their eyes the Sith were not the evil ones, but rather the Jedi.
LIAM NEESON // have you met QUI-GON JINN yet? He is a FORTY-EIGHT year old CIS MALE HUMAN. they’re originally from an UNKNOWN PLANET and now shows loyalty to the JEDI. they are best known for being a JEDI MASTER, and i hear they’re pretty WISE yet also DISOBEDIENT at times; i hope they survive the galactic civil war. (Taurus, 30, EST, she/her)
THE PAST
Qui-Gon Jinn was born and raised as any average child gifted with Force sensitivity. Taken from his birth planet and brought to Coruscant to learn and grow amongst his peers, Qui-Gon thrived. When he was of an appropriate age and dubbed ready by his teachers, Qui-Gon was apprenticed to Master Dooku. After a slight rocky start, Dooku’s cold demeanor and Qui-Gon’s attempts to adhere more strictly to the Jedi rule put them at odds, the two fell into sync and became a formidable pair. Qui-Gon was introduced to the ancient texts and prophecies which at first merely interested him but eventually would guide some of his greatest life choices.
When the time came, Qui-Gon took his trial and became a Jedi Knight. He stayed in contact with his teacher and quickly came to understand some of his teachings about the Council. He had seen Dooku clash with the Council before, but now he was alone in facing the stagnant group of Jedi Masters. He never went so far as to openly dissent or act against the Jedi, but his belief that each moment needs to be treated individually and in tricky situations the Jedi Code may not be in the best interest of the people ruffled some feathers. Worst of all, his methods brought results which could not be argued and he never deviated from doing good works in the interest of all.
Naturally with his successes on missions and the acceptance of his strengths in the force, Qui-Gon was elevated to the status of Master and recommended to take a padawan. It was a matter he often pushed aside, until Xanatos graduated. Despite being warned against it, Qui-Gon saw great potential and intelligence in the boy and hoped to help the young man grow out of his destructive tendencies and foster the good he saw in him. It would become his greatest failure when Xanatos would be called back to his home planet and succumb to the call of greed and power, leaving the Jedi forever.
Shortly after the loss of his padawan to the Darkside Master Dooku left the Jedi to reclaim his family title of Count. Qui-Gon threw himself into understanding the living force and the ancient history he believed could better connect him to the Force. During this time he mastered the ability which would later allow him to become a Force ghost.
Jinn was content to continue on in this way, taking missions, learning about the past and strengthening his connection to the Living Force. It was not until Yoda brought him to observe the younglings in need of masters that his position on teaching started to change. Obi-Wan Kenobi was not a perfect fit and they were not quick to fall into step with each other. Both of them worked to build the strong bond of Master and Padawan and with time Qui-Gon was privileged to see his student grow and excel.
Then the Trade Federation started the blockade of Naboo. The two of them were sent as peacekeepers and the situation grew wildly out of control with twists and surprising updates. Most surprisingly of all was the young slave boy tucked away on Tatooine. This was it, he was the future. Qui-Gon had never been so sure even before testing him for Force sensitivity. He would not abandon the mission, but he could not abandon this child and all he meant for the future. Even if he had to raise the boy in the ways of the Jedi himself, even in the face of the Council’s rejection.
None of this would come to pass.
Qui-Gon Jinn died in his attempt to bring down Darth Maul. His thoughts were still with what he believed to the good of the universe as he passed, confident Obi-Wan would continue to be a credit to their Order and that Anakin would fulfill his role in the prophecy. At peace and one with the Force, Qui-Gon Jinn became the first Jedi in thousands of years to become one with the Force and still retain his identity after death.
THE PRESENT
It has been a few years since his own death and Qui-Gon Jinn found serenity and peace. He watched Obi-Wan become a Jedi knight, saw him rise to the challenge of teaching such an old padawan. And then without warning he was ripped from the Force and reborn.
Disoriented and confused, Qui-Gon now has to face the reality of living again and in the future. There is something wrong with the Force and it must be corrected. The dark must not be allowed to eclipse the light.
PERSONALITY
Good Traits: patient, adaptable (in the moment), dedicated, curious, accountable, serene
Bad traits: withdrawn, secretive, stubborn (in his beliefs), condescending, cunning, rude
For someone as well studied and clever as Qui-Gon it might seem odd how deeply he relies on instinct and feelings. Over the years he has taken to allowing others to decide how they want to view him, keeping his emotions close to the chest even with his Jedi comrades. Many consider him a maverick from his stubbornness and willfulness even in the face of the Jedi Council. It has been said he has a talent for sounding very reassuring while actually saying very little. Some would say this is right before he does something you would not approve of.
KEIRA KNIGHTLEY // have you met SABE ANDIERRE yet? SHE/HER is a 27 year old CIS FEMALE HUMAN. they’re originally from NABOO and now show loyalty to REBELLION (PADME). they are best known for being a BODYGUARD/SPY, and i hear they’re pretty LOYAL yet also MOODY at times; i hope they survive the galactic civil war.
THE PAST
Sabé Andierre, formerly known as Tsabin, was a human female who hailed from the planet Naboo during the late era of the Galactic Republic. Serving as a handmaiden in the Royal House of Naboo, Sabé was duty-bound to protect Queen Padmé Amidala—the elected ruler of the people of Naboo—against any threat. Tsabin was born on Naboo around 46 BBY, into a family of hallikset players. As per family tradition, she was sent to study music at the Theed Conservatory, a school known for training traditional musicians, as her older brothers had studied there, although she strongly disliked it. She was first handmaiden to Queen Amidala, the leader of the handmaidens during Amidala's reign as Queen, and in the early stages of their rebellion against the Galactic Empire, and a General in the Rebel Alliance. She secretly had a younger sister named Sonya Andierre, who was kept hidden to prevent anyone from learning more of their family history. Born on her family's large land holdings, Sabé spent the earliest years of her life free of cares, though her parents were secretly dismayed by her tomboyishness. She had a younger sister, however, the two would rarely spend anytime together, due to the fact that she was forced to conceal and keep knowledge of her family's very existence to a bare minimum in order for the decoy gambit to remain viable, something she regretted when she got older. However, she took comfort in knowing that she and her sister were aware of one another's existence.
Despite their reservations her mother, Rian Olnick, still did her level best to spoil Sabé rotten, and throughout her life Sabé favored the Olnick family over the Andierres. As a girl, she loved playing bolo-ball against her cousins, and her childhood ambition was to do it professionally. However, when she was 11, her parents convinced her to put her name down as a possible handmaiden, and three years later, she was selected by Captain Panaka as the first of 13 Royal Handmaidens, contingent on then-Princess Amidala being elected as Queen. Very early in her training Sabé took to the role enthusiastically.
In 32 BBY, the year she turned fourteen and was expected to take up an apprenticeship, Tsabin was asked to hold off on accepting an apprenticeship until after the upcoming election, although he provided no details. After Amidala won the election, Tsabin accepted Panaka's offer to become her body double, being introduced to Amidala and becoming the Queen's first handmaiden. Two weeks after Amidala's election, Panaka presented four other girls, Rabene Tonsort, Eirtama Ballory, Suyan Higin and Sashah Adova, to her as potential handmaidens as well, and the Queen took them to her apartments in the Theed Royal Palace to discuss things. There, the girls decided what roles each would have in Amidala's service and, at Tonsort's suggestion, changed their names to match Amidala's given one for privacy, some prestige, and so that Amidala going undercover as one of her own handmaidens would be less noticeable. The last to pick her new name, Tsabin became Sabé.
Sabé and the other handmaidens following the queen's coronation were trained in gymnastics, hand-to-hand combat and small arms handling. Despite their ability to serve as bodyguards, the handmaidens would also serve Amidala on a more personal level, tending to her outfits and hairstyles. Thinking ahead, Panaka devised a scheme to ensure the queen's safety in times of crisis. Sabé, who bore a striking resemblance to Amidala, would adopt the role of the queen, while Amidala herself would pose as a handmaiden. Though Sabé was usually first in line to play the role of "false queen," the Queen’s Shadow, the other handmaidens could also fill the position if needs be. Due to her role as Amidala's decoy, Sabé was considered to be the most important of the queen's bodyguards. During her time as a handmaiden, Sabé became close friends with Amidala. Sabe was loyal to a fault. She had loyalty to Padme, and she knew Padme could not return the same care.
The handmaidens would constantly train at a secret compound set up by Panaka, located just outside Theed. There, they would hone their marksmanship under the captain's supervision. The training area included an obstacle course that the handmaidens had to navigate while constantly being harried by a floating training droid. One day, the handmaidens were joined by a newcomer, named Padmé. Yané and Eirtaé successfully completed the course that day, but Rabé encountered some potentially fatal difficulties. Hit in the arm by the training droid's non-lethal blaster fire, Rabé returned fire, but even a direct hit was unable to down the droid. Padmé and Sabé also opened fire on the training device, to no avail. The duo quickly realized that something had gone amiss with the droid, and it pursued the fleeing Rabé to a nearby waterfall while Yané went to alert the compound's droid control.
While Rabé waited on the treacherous footing near the waterfall, Sabé, acting quickly, fired a cable at a nearby branch. Padmé swung from the cable, lashing out at the training droid and knocking it wildly off course. She then retrieved the injured Rabé from her dangerous position. When everyone was safe, Padmé revealed that she was in fact the queen, and in doing so she assured her handmaidens that their loyalty to her was returned in kind.
The forces of the Trade Federation invaded Naboo as a part of their protest of the taxation of trade routes. Knowing that the queen would be in danger, Captain Panaka initiated his scheme to ensure the safety of Amidala. Sabé, due to her close resemblance to Amidala, took on her guise, while Amidala adopted handmaiden attire and used her birth name of "Padmé Naberrie". It was then that she met two Jedi Knights, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi who got them and the entourage off of Naboo in the queen’s unarmed starship. Sabe maintained her guise as “Queen Amidala”.
After a stop on Tatooine where they added young Anakin Skywalker to the ship with the Jedis, they headed to Coruscant and the Senate. Arriving at the capital, Sabé again swapped identities with Amidala, allowing the real queen to deal with the critical political maneuvering that was sure to take place. This allowed Sabé to take a break from her stressful role, although the respite was short-lived. Sabé, in her guise as Amidala, went before Boss Rugor Nass and pleaded with him to join their cause. When Amidala saw that this was not working, she revealed her identity as a token of trust. Sabé was to continue to assume the role of the queen in the Battle of Naboo, although she would fight alongside Amidala herself. Thanks to Sabé and Amidala's efforts, amongst those of many others, the battle was won, and Naboo was freed. Following the battle, after the funeral of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, who had been struck down in combat, Sabé again contacted elements of the Naboo Underground, and had them investigate Savor Kibbs, the leader of a new renegade movement of Humans and Gungans. The underground members eventually did battle with Kibbs in Naboo's swamps.
THE PRESENT
During the Clone Wars, the Jedi High Council discovered that the Confederacy of Independent Systems had paid several outlaws on Coruscant to kidnap Amidala before a crucial speech in the Senate. In an effort to draw out the kidnappers, the Jedi hid Amidala in a safe location and allowed Sabé and Eirtaé to be captured instead. The Council then sent Anakin Skywalker—now a Jedi Knight and secretly Amidala's husband—to rescue the senator; Skywalker was not aware of the exchange that had occurred. Skywalker successfully tracked down the kidnappers and subdued them. He released Amidala's decoys, but did not like the fact that he had not been told the truth about the Jedi Council's plans.
After the battle, Sabé returned to the background in the palace, though outside of it she would take on a role in strengthening Naboo's military forces. With the practice of the Queen using her as a decoy having been exposed, she was allowed to appear in public much more than she would have been otherwise. She and Padme Amidala also grew very close during the following eight years.
PERSONALITY
Throughout her life Sabé was known for her aggression, always more comfortable shooting first and asking questions later, though Panaka worked hard in her youth to teach her to restrain her impulses, and she grew better at this with age. She was a natural leader, never uncomfortable taking charge and taking command. She did not usually have difficulty getting subordinates to follow her, and her courage and lack of airs often inspired strong loyalty. However, she was known sometimes to clash with other leaders, particularly in high-pressure situations. It was never easy for them to earn her respect, and when she developed a bad opinion of someone it could be very difficult to get her to change her mind.
Sabé was an extremely talented impersonator, fooling many in her act as Amidala. The ruse was not only successful due to her physical similarity to Amidala, but also to her skilled mimicry of Amidala's voice and mannerisms. Sabé was taught how to echo Amidala's gait by the queen herself.
During her younger years, she never seemed entirely satisfied with all she had accomplished, always trying to better her accomplishments, and often trying to branch out of her comfort zone and acquire new skills. Age, and toll of fighting a long war against the Empire, turned her slightly more complacent, but even then she was known for continually working and moving towards new goals.
She was also a skilled combatant, fighting Federation droids at the Battle of Naboo. A crack shot with an ELG-3A blaster pistol, she managed to take off a droid's head with a single shot. Although no harm ever befell her, Sabé was usually in great danger when disguised as the queen. She accepted this role dutifully, however. Sharp and calculating, Sabé became a close friend of Amidala during her time as a handmaiden, devising a set of hand signals that would enable communications between the two when playing their switched roles.
Although she was adept in the role, Sabé would worry about ruining the deception with one slip of the tongue, and she found playing the part to be extremely stressful during the Invasion of Naboo, since she was effectively barred from making any actions whatsoever without Amidala's approval. In addition to her skills as a bodyguard, Sabé could speak Gunganese, Huttese, Twi'leki, and could understand Shyriiwook.
Sabé had a particularly close friendship with Padmé and was the only handmaiden to remain in Amidala’s service after she left the throne.
