★ - Do they prefer daytime or nighttime and why?
Since I haven’t read the novels I truly can’t say anything with confidence but basing it on mere guess I suppose it would be nighttime.
There’s not much to do at those hour but she has time for herself, a quiet ambient is definitively bothersome when left alone with your own thoughts but Mako was more dedicated to her tasks and had complete focus, working in the sidelines bothered her more in those instances despite of how much she pushed herself but I want to think that after she and Raleigh closed the breach she tried taking a more relaxed view a began to value those hours to think on something else more productive…like the future.
