when I started shipping it if I did:

After I got into Bloodborne, it took me a while to move into shipping territory, but there were a couple characters that caught my eye (Ludwig) so I did some snooping. First fic on the list sounded so very good, so I clicked on it and got hit with a 2x4 that was holyvicar and I haven't looked back since.

my thoughts:

They are everything to me. I love how easy it is to read that they get a little bit obsessed with each other. I love their dynamic; Ludwig is noble and principled and Laurence is ambitious, and the mental hoops Ludwig jumps through for Laurence are utterly captivating. More than anyone else, Ludwig encapsulates how everyone close to Laurence knew what was happening should stop and yet followed his lead anyways. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and Ludwig is right there, shoulder to shoulder with Laurence to lay down those stones.

What makes me happy about them:

Everything!! They really make my brain work hard, produce all those good chemicals.

What makes me sad about them:

They're inherently tragic-- There's no space for happiness for Laurence in his canon, and that of course extends to the people closest to him. Including Ludwig. Especially Ludwig. No one was quite as high or fell quite as far, and it can all be traced back to Laurence.

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

Seeing either of them dumbed down or flattened into one dimensional characters. They're both so incredibly complex and it's a shame to see that lost.

things I look for in fanfic:

Anything interesting! I love introspective pieces, especially from Laurence's pov. Or a good plot, or something not done often!

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Laurence is incredibly easy to ship; he just draws people in, so it's very easy to see him with others, even in the context of a single verse. Gehrman and Brador are my usual go-tos besides Ludwig, mainly because I think the three of them are exactly all Laurence's preferred type. But I definitely see the appeal of Micolash and Laurence, due to their academic clashes and differing perspectives.

As for Ludwig, I do love some of the bittersweetness of his ship with Simon. It makes your heart ache, and I love it both one sided and requited.

My happily ever after for them:

Not being in Yharnam, haha! But really, I would love to see, if they got a second chance, how they might try and fix their past mistakes.

who is the big spoon/little spoon:

Oh, Laurence, for sure is the big spoon. Not always, but I definitely see him as the type to enjoy it. Encouraging Ludwig to make himself small, comfortable.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity:

I think, they would enjoy taking walks together. Or, perhaps Laurence reading to Ludwig, or vice versa. Perhaps even, in a kinder world, they would enjoy a trip to a warm beach, somewhere far away, where the wind is fresh and the sun shines in a clear blue sky.

Listen shibari would look CRIMINALLY good on Ludwig. His chest is magnificent so imagine some red rope between his cleavage and bordering it. Laurence would literally beg Ludwig to try it out 😭

Laurence is all for the wax play and oiling Ludwig up, but Ludwig is not too sure about the pain. But again Ludwig is the type to try everything at least once so long as it's not too heinous, and wax play definitely isn't something that's "dirty" to him. It's just candle wax!

When I started Shipping it: Probaly a couple months after I got into Bloodborne! I think it started with me going "oh yeah that'd work I think" and then the more lore digging and thinking I did the worse the brainrot got.

My Thoughts: I love them.... so much. They are Yharnam's murder powercouple of my dreams. They set up the Church together... they burn the city down together... they summon god together and it rips them apart... Laurence is the only guy Gehrman cares about being 'useful' for and Gehrman progressivly comes to represent Laurence's humanity- all the things he wishes to discard but cannot. Their love, as rotted and gorey as it is, drives every part of the game to me.

What Makes Me Happy About them: Murder couple antics. Gehrman kills people for Laurence cus he's devoted and Laurence literally likes to bathe in the blood of his enemies. They hold hands and skip through a field of corpses :) Sitcom where your husband is a theocratic dictator and you kill the people he sees as a threat.

What Makes Me Sad About them: The fact that they're seperated at the fault of their own hubris. They literally do nothing but fuck around and find out and it catches up to them. Also the fact that they're slowly forgetting each other too that also hurts. Oh and how Gehrman apologises for dying in that one cut line that... oh wow.

Things Done In Fanfic That Annoy Me: THAT THERE IS NON. Jk... I'm not into how the characters can be flattened, I suppose. I'm personally not into 'Laurence did nothing wrong' takes or Gehrman as just 'creepy old man lmao' both of those hurt. Also when ppl make them straight (I'm only half joking).

Things I Look For In Fanfic: They need to be fucked up AND evil to the world and each other. They've both gotta be little freaks in some capacity. I NEED guys who are so in love but make their lives and the lives of those around them significantly worse.

Who Else I'd Be Alright With Them Ending Up With: Lozza isn't monogomous to me anyway he's dating like 5 seperate guys. I can only really see him having genuine feelings for Gehr (and he HATES it fr) but I feel like most ships with Laurence work just cus he's so involved in every aspect of the plot.

Gehrman I can't really ship with anyone else... maybe Ludwig? He sounds pretty upset when he mentions him. Maybe Flora but I think she sees him as a sick hamster fr.

Their Happily Ever After: Ohh... I think Gehrman dreams about him and Laurence living in a secluded cottage house- no cults or werewolves. He does woodworking and Laurence is a local physician with no political power. It's nice, simple.

Lozza's ideal is him ascending and getting Gehrman out of the dream. Achieving his goal and saving that one guy he cares about :)

Big Spoon/Little Spoon: I feel like they take turns fr. Laurence is 5'7 he fits perfectly in the arms of this 8 foot somthing man. But then again, I think Gehr likes to be held and Laurence likes holding things.

Favourite Activity: I think they kill people as a cute date idea. Unironically they greatly miss tomb diving with each other: the excitement of near death experiences, the blood, the thrill of discovery. They occasionally participated in Hunts together but they were both so busy they didn't get the chance. Aside from murder I think Gehrman would love to drag Laurence along to a practical activity like pottery classes and Laurence LOVES getting Gehrman to attend theoretical debates with him.

AUGH MY WEAKNESS

1.) Person A waking up to a sleeping Person B clinging onto them tightly.

Brador wakes up with a snort. He rubs his eyes and tries to stretch. Unfortunately, there's a certain someone clinging to him...

Brador looks down. Of course, it's Djura, hugging him like a koala, his face nuzzled into Brador's tummy. He even snores against Brador, involuntarily blowing raspberries with every exhale.

Djura looks like he's in heaven. His face buried in Brador's tum hair and squishy fat... it must be quite comfortable.

Brador shifts and Djura shifts too, hugging him tighter and mumbling in his sleep. "Soft..."

Brador blushes. Him? Soft? However, the softest thing here is Djura's peaceful expression... Brador cradles his cheek, brushing his thumb over it.

Djura doesn't wake up. He's so comfortable on Brador's tummy that he is definitely dreaming of it.

Brador decides that it's just not worth getting up right now. Not only is he warm and comfy on the bed, his boyfriend is all snuggled up and happy. He'd hate to ruin that for Djura.

Without so much as a second thought, Brador falls right back asleep.
