Originally, I was just gonna add scars and new names to Gale and Stripe's old ref sheets from last year once the new book came out, but I was getting increasingly unhappy with the pose/anatomy on Gale's sheet, so I decided to redraw her from scratch. So here's the new ref sheet for Galestar, now known by her true name Gale Rise :D

No real changes to her design other than the new pose with better anatomy, and adding scars to reflect her life as a warrior during a time of frequent battles, then a leader during a long and dangerous journey.

For her physical description, Gale Rise is described as a sleek she-cat. She's WindClan by birth, and a descendent of Windstar (though I didn't know that when I first designed her so that part is a happy accident), so I went with an oriental build for her. The scar on her flank, lower towards her belly, is from the bit of wood that pierced her flank during the fire and caused her to miscarry (thanks to a friend on Discord for reminding me of that wound!) While Stripebark looks old and sad and regretful of all that he has lost, Gale Rise looks forward into a bright new future, happy and content and *enough* at last.

For her pattern, Gale Rise is described as a black-and-white she-cat with white paws, dappled black-and-white shoulders, and sky-blue eyes. The pattern has remained unchanged from last time I drew her.

Overall, I'm really happy with how she turned out. :D Though her face pattern looks so weird on the reverse side that I added a pic of her face from her old ref sheet as a front-side view to give a better context as to how her face markings should look. XD
