Gale being passionate makes Ceres heart go: doki-doki Based @galefcrce

It's really hard for me to tell or explain why Gale would actually like Ceres; it's easier for me to go the other way around because it feels like otherwise, I am overselling them. Like, I am straight assuming Gale would like this or that. It's the same issue I have with writing my character in the novel and actively calling them pretty because we all have a different understanding of 'pretty.' *

But I think one of the things they would really bond over is that they match each other's energy. So when you go all passionate about a topic, they will not fall asleep; they will listen to every word spoken by your lips, think about it, and ask questions or give you feedback. There will be an exchange. There is nothing they love more than seeing a person passionate about something. So when Gale goes all info-dumping, they sparkle at him and are grateful that he shares his knowledge with them.

* Is Ceres conventionally seen as a pretty person? When I created her 17 years ago, there were freckles-bleach cremes! Straight noses were all over Hollywood, hair extensions were the way to go, and chubby characters were super rare. Don't get me started on the whole thigh-gap thing. In Act 1, Ceres dedicates herself to convincing Gale to shed his self-image as the antagonist of his own narrative. Following their survival of the Creche and their encounter with Elminster, Gale summons the courage to once again express his romantic interest to Ceres.

Initially, he dismisses her gestures as mere pity or assumes she lacks crucial information. Every excuse fills his mind until he runs out of them. However, when Mystra's first words to him after a year command him to end his own life, he begins to introspect, reconsidering every dialogue they've shared.
