Galle Face is a 5-acre ocean side Urban park, which is situated in the heart of Colombo. The original beach coast park extended a much longer area than today. This promenade was initially laid out in 1859 by governer Sir Henry George Ward, which is used for horse racing and also as a cricket, polo rugby and football playground.
