Headcanons (AU or canon) for Piek and Porco? Now I'm just thinking about one or both of them not making it - and I am sad.
You can’t think about terrible things like that, anon! You have to think positive--like about them hanging out together after several months without a break just...casually sitting around and talking... BUT SURE I HAVE HEADCANONS. They could be proved wrong by the canon later down the line but for now I’m satisfied with them.
When Porco was the “failure” of the group he was still allowed to hang around Zeke and Pieck. He didn’t stop working hard just because he wasn’t chosen. He’s tenacious, a quality Pieck admires and respects in him.
Pieck was also kind of a listening ear during the years Porco had to wait for news of his brother.
She was also there for him as a calm emotional support when he did learn the truth--that all those years of waiting for his brother to come back were futile because he died almost the moment he got off of the boat.
Porco’s not really very big on loyalty to Marley and he can’t stand people who don’t back up what they’re saying with action. It’s easy to talk a big game but don’t bother talking if you don’t have any intention of following through.
Pieck spends a lot of time in her titan form. Sometimes it’s just a handful of days but more often than not it’s weeks or even months. The process of staying shifted so long weakens her muscles; moving while shifted is different and makes adjusting back to being “human” difficult.
When she shifts back after weeks or months of being shifted, she’s very weak and needs a couple of days to get around on her own even with the aid of a crutch. (If it’s especially bad she may be in a wheelchair for a few days afterward...)
They spend a lot of their downtime together and usually get along well. She likes to tease him but it’s always over harmless things. Serious discussions are had between them but they’re always careful about where and when they have them because they’re under constant surveillance--especially indoors.
Porco has a big fat crush on Pieck but he tries to keep it under wraps because their situation is pretty depressing. She’s not far from the end of her time and he still has a long way to go comparatively. It just doesn’t seem worth it to start something...
Also, he might not be completely sure that Pieck returns his feelings, and why make things awkward between them if he doesn’t have to?
They rely on one another a lot--especially after a long and difficult time on the battlefield. He never abandons her to try and figure things out for herself after she shifts, but tries his best to be there just in case she needs a little help.
She likes having her hair brushed... (And he’s always willing to do it.)
The more time that has passed, the harder it has been for Pieck to adjust to walking and sitting upright after spending a long time shifted. Porco, who desperately wants to separate their time as humans and as titans (with their time as humans together “counting” and their time as titans being “just work” if that) doesn’t like to see her struggle so much; it’s a big reminder that things won’t get better for her and that her time in his life is quickly coming to an end. It hurts to see her crawling around on the floor as if she can no longer separate her identity as a human being from that of a titan...but all he can do is helplessly ask her to walk normally and quietly worry about how much longer she’ll be able to do it.
Pieck loves apples...especially if someone ~kind and ~considerate cuts them into slices for her.
She likes the way his jacket smells and he likes the feel of her hair against his fingers and how sometimes she grabs onto him for support he knows she doesn’t really need...
As far as modern headcanons go, I had a dream that Pieck had CFS and fibro so there was that. I might adopt that as a modern hc cause like honestly...it’d be cool if chronic illness had more representation in headcanonville. :3c
