My best friend was in hospital for her mental heath so she missed our school formal years ago. (prom, I’m from Australia)

She got sad about it not too long ago.

So I did what best friends do.

I got tickets to the an awards show so she could walk the red carpet, have a nice dinner & drinks, we both could see out favourite actors & go to the after party.

I suited up, got her a dress, I was her damn date.

She got her moment that she thought she missed out on. But this was better, this was a night for us. She cried happy tears at the end of the night.😌

Friends for 19 years. Ups & downs. She has taught me true friendship. It’s important to take your friends on dates. It’s ok to be single & have no idea what you’re doing in life, as long as you have that friend who will be by your side, you have everything.

My girlfriend and I have this weird thing where one of us will be sick, and the other will take care of them. Which that itself isnt weird.

But.

Then the sick one will get better and the healthy one will get sick and the former sick one will take care of the former healthy one.

I tell you this story because my girlfriend was sick with a stomach bug for a week and I never got it. Today is the first day she actually started feeling better, and now I'm feeling sick to my stomach and she's taking care of me.
