May 5, 2020: *My every day makeup*
Today's tutorial is for my everyday Gal makeup. I don't wear makeup everyday but if I were to this would be the look!
I chose this makeup because I love over the top Gal and this look is quick and simple enough that I could do it effortlessly everyday!
-Natural colour eyeshadow with shimmer accent.
-Minimal eyeliner but still achieves an exaggerated eye.
-Nose stripe highlight and contour are still promenent but the highlight is more muted/natural looking.
*Apply your base makeup* (bb cream, foundation, concealer, etc).
I use Mac foundation mixed with a bit of my regular moisture.
Step 2: Contour! I like to start with my nose~
*Apply your nose stripe highlight*
I have 3 situational colours I use for my stripe: Beige, Peach or White. Since this look is for everyday, I'd use the beige concealer stick. This concealer stick was brought locally years ago at Walmart.
For contouring, I generally use 2 colours:
- A dark brown contour powder for the brow area going towards the mid section of my nose.
- A lighter brown contour powder from the mid section towards the bottom.
To finish, I pencil in the rest of my brows.
I got my dark brown mini contour palette locally from Clores Beauty and my lighter browns contour palette online from Ebay years ago.
*Apply shadow and eyeliner*
I start by applying undereye concealer on my eyebags to brighten them up. Then I apply some neutral coloured shimmer to make them pop. The concealer pen was brought locally at Clores Beauty. The shimmer eyeshadow was brought locally at Walmart.
On top of my eye, I put a natural coloured eye shadow base and gold shimmer on my eye lid area for accent. The base shadow colour and shimmer eyeshadows are the same palettes from earlier.
The eyeliner style is a minimal droop. I start on the top by following my natural eye from inner corner arching around to the outer corner then extending the line beyond my natural shape.
On the bottom from the inner corner, I draw the downward point and connect it back to the waterline.
Leave a gap then continue the bottom eyeliner from center area, drooping the line down as you approach the top liner extension. The eyeliner I'm using is L'Oréal telescopic bought locally.
*Apply top and bottom lashes*
I like to start with the top lashes. Apply it starting at the extended top eyeliner end. Work the rest of the lash on toward the center then finishing near the top. You may need to stack some pairs to fit the top eyeliner extension (stacking means to glue eyelash pieces together to extend the length and add fullness).
Bottom lashes are applied on the extended lower lashline. Top and botton lashes are from Aliexpress.
I generally love to be heavy handed with the blush but for an everyday look I'd mildly apply. I use my go to orange colour that I got years ago locally.
