It has been a relatively quiet week, so I have been drawing and trying to combine the sketches into something more.

By the way, I suddenly realized how little Destard’s understanding of romance and marriage could be. He lacks feelings similar to those of higher organisms, and only has two states - comfort and discomfort. Instead, he has a set of rules and patterns of behavior that he follows in order to simulate a "normal person", which allows him to stay in the "comfort" state for as long as possible.

After Blanca became a new member of the family, Dest respected, protected her and showed interest in what she liked - because this was his "Family behaviour", but it still takes him a long to adapt to a new person. At the beginning of their relationship, any interaction between them was one continuous period of awkwardness, silence and misunderstanding. Sometimes, he would stare blankly into space or into book for hours, completely ignoring everyone, until Blanca spoke to him. When she did, he would immediately change. A friendly smile, gestures, and facial expressions would appear, along with a responsive reaction to her conversation - all of which looked good. But if you looked closer, you could see that his overfocus on Blanca's words, his gestures were repetitive, and he often averted his gaze as if following a timer. What made Blanca even more nervous was the way he quickly returned to his "empty" state after she finished talking.

Another doddle concept.

Like natural mimics, some small folks in Galvania use particular designs in their clothing and jewelry (false nails) to make them look biger and more dangerous.... and of course - the proper angry face.

Some more bats, only this time - a young bunny-eared Hastur and "senseless and merciless" galvanian fashion (more precisely, blind imitation of the ideals of the past). It only took some ancient warriors losing parts of their ears in the heat of battle and now, several generations later, cropped ears have become a symbol of noble and almost heroic origin. A kind of beauty standard to indicate courage and presence of military blood in the family.

Thankfully, Hastur had this procedure performed quite early, so he hardly remembers what his former ears and hearing were like... although, it's obviously better than now.

A little bit about the galvanic furniture. I've been thinking for a long time about it and, so far, I've come to the following conclusions:

- the back of the chairs should be optional, AND always separated from the seat, because "bats" need space for their tail (i.e. for the most part everyone sits on stools or ottomans);

- the seat itself should be narrow due to the structural features of the place "where the tail connects with the back";

- due to the length of the arms, the armrests will always be at the level (or slightly higher) of the seat.

With the tables it gets more complicated. Theoretically, they can still use "standard human" tables. However, it seems to me that inclined surfaces might be more suitable for an organic support of the wing arms. Perhaps.

P.S. - A small addition about writing materials. Here, they would most likely use brushes and ink. They are more convenient to work with, without depending on the support of the edge of the palm. However, I do not exclude reed sticks and clay tablets (for cuneiform). The choice will depend more on the time period and habitat (in some regions, the caves are close to forests and in others to rivers)

As a child, Dest was a real walking misfortune. Especially when he went outside. Rain, strong wind, scorching sun - any change in the weather, and you spend all day collecting him around the neighborhood with brushes and rags.

For someone who consists almost of "dust", weather becomes an arch nemesis in the first few years of life. Which it needs to be able to overcome in order to continue pretending to be a "complex living organism".

+ Some sketches with Varna - emotions and posing "without an upper uniform". Although, we can assume that these are more "search sketches of her physique". I definitely want her to be buffer than Hastur, but make her jacked and/or curvy… Idn. I haven’t decided yet.

PS - Also most of the poses (which I, naturally, draw from people) are poorly applied to my bats, so I’ll continue to train to correct that. QwQ

At first I drew a typical aristobat, then I switched to drawing emotions, and as a result I got a high-born old bastard who scolds a waif. (Off-screen, after that, a lil one hit him in the knee and ran away)

Next week I’m finally starting to draw the requests, and today I have for y’all some search sketches of Hastur’s "one true love"- the Pestilence. I recently stumbled across my old sketch of this Horseman and wanted to redraw it a little. Although, considering that this entity is already quite fluid and everchanging, I can say that any form of it is possible. *the villainous laughter of a fickle artist*

Hmmm, but maybe I’ll keep a dark core in the chest / upper body, tentacles on the head, one eye and yellow color as the most stable part of the design. Idk yet. *the villainous laughter of a fickle artist intensifies*
