I've been drawing with my friends in magma again, decided to finally draw an idea I had months ago - galvan subspecies\ethnicity?? I'll definitely will draw some more different subspecies, it's just that poison dart frogs i like them the most, hehe
I imagine them being more adventurous than common grey galvans, loving going outdoors, climbing on mountains or giant trees… that's why they have muscular legs and different hands and feet (more toes!!)
They are still smart as hell, but more akin to study biology, botany, geography and so on and so forth… also they're studying it way more active - going camping in Galvan Prime's tropical forests instead of staying in a lab all day
+ bonus clothes ideas
what da ya think??? I LIKE IT A LOT FOR NOW
Galvans are so cute man something i look at them and gose awww
Azmuth be giving a speech and i look at him and remember that one moment of ben holding him like a baby .
Albedo be trying to kill a teenage kid and how messed up he become because of stucking in a body he doesn’t like only for him to look so adorable in his true form ( ignore uaf them designers didnt have enough budget to actually make him look good)
Same gose to the galvans in ov background like they look so cute or so goofy
They are incredibly cute.
Omniverse really fucks up the scaling, and so do the other shows sometimes, but Omniverse really has it bad with Blukic and Driba and Azmuth being as prominent as they are and next to characters.
Like, Ben’s Grey Matter is hardly smaller than them and he’s canonically 6 inches tall. That is legit “Two apples” levels of short. Ben is barely taller than a goddamn soda can as a Galvan, my Apple Pencil is taller than him! The fuckers are small
It’s actually a point I like because, in canon, Galvans don’t get as much respect other than for their intelligence and get manhandled very regularly by other, larger species. Meanwhile, Ben carries and lifts them up with some dignity in it because it’s either a protective hold that isn’t restricting them (the baby cradle Ben did to Azmuth or when he catches him a few times in UAF) or holds his hand flat like a platform for them to use. They smol, but it’s a conscious thing Ben does to not be a jerk about it
Also yes, look at these lil fuckers. They cute
I talked to my friend @boileddemon69 about this before, but I believe it should be shared to everyone now!
I think it'd be cute if galvans were drawn with tails!
Thank you for coming to my ramble.
Headcanon: The Galvans have an ableism/anti-mutant/eugenics issue going on.
Seriously, a guy was born with a disabling mutation and he's not just referred to as a 'subspecies' over it- something that, quite obviously, causes great offense- not just restricted in his movements- we're shown he was forbidden from entering the city Azmuth lives in, and was under orders to stay on Galvan B- but once he's killed his corpse is put on public display as the 'natural predator' of his species. That is not something that happens when a culture is cool with and has supports and protections in place for people who are different.
So yeah, expanding off the as near as we can tell canon bigotry at play in the culture- with their clear anti-mutant sentiments and likely ableist ones, Galvans have a long history of eugenics. Reproduction is a carefully managed affair, especially in the cities where it's easier to restrict who has access to breeding pools, and the species has engaged in genetic manipulation to remove 'undesirable' traits from those authorized to breed.
There have been changes to this whole system recently (for a Galvan standard of recent, the first generation is starting to breed) to loosen the standards of what's considered 'undesirable', spearheaded by Galvan anti-eugenics groups, but it's an uphill battle and they've hardly even managed to dent the breeding rights portion of things outside of specific areas.
Crackship art!! >:]
Cuddle time in winter with Albedo and a humanized Luhley :]
Rare Ben 10 Fact #03
Contrary to popular fan interpretation, Galvans DO NOT age backwards. We see a few as Tadpoles in an episode of Ben 10: Omniverse.
This information was misinterpreted from the movie Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens: the fact that Azmuth transferred the mind of his father out of a presumably old and failing body into a new one to maintain his life.
