Remy/Gambit cg headcanons
-i did a lil research about him and the marvel wiki says he has a soft spot for kids.
-if he was a caregiver, he would spoil them so hard
-a neurodivergent reader would be a bit of a challenge for him (a welcomed one)
-when he discovers reader likes feeling playing cards, he always carry’s a stack with him (ones that aren’t gonna be used as weapons)
-he does card tricks for his little and makes sly jokes all the time
“someone just glued my stack of cards together!”
“i can’t deal 🤦” (i took this from the dad joke subreddit 😭)
-for a more specific scenario: you both meet when you join the x-men team!
-remy is the second person you meet there and he’s already outgoing
-neurodivergent reader who’s just very nervous
-they know everyone there is a mutant, but what really matters to them at the moment is how they would treat someone with neurodivergence
-remy tries to quell readers worries as soon as he senses them.
if reader doesn’t understand a witty remark, he explains it. if they don’t like how loud one of the other x-men’s are being, he takes them to another room.
-remy is undeniably good at handling sensory overload and preventing it. he carries cards (as previously stated) for reader to feel and play with
-reader would probably have a specific texture of cards they would like most; so gambit always carries it :)
