I think Lee/Useup has been the only person to actively acknowledge Ves' obsessive qualities when it comes to Kris ic. Bc like its...its a fucking problem if they're asked about it.

It's partly to do with the fact that Kris is the first person they ever see due to their faint connection with the Soul. Kris is the first person they learn about, that they come to care about. And having never felt something like this before, it bloomed into an obsession very quickly.

The thing that keeps them from being dangerous is the fact that they both can't and won't hurt people. Both because they physically do not have attacks, and because they find themselves very squarely below every living thing in existance. And the most they can do is just get in the way of attacks against Kris to protect them.

But outside of this, they practically stalk Kris. Constantly watching from a distance, waiting at their home at odd hours, everything they do is with Kris in mind.

They would happily take the place of the SOUL if they could.

They are ENDLESSLY devoted. They will happily take anything they could possibly get from Kris, and I mean anything.

Most Kris encounters have been very kind and sweet. But should any Kris turn violence on them, use them for their own gain, order them around like a mindless puppet, they would take it all, with practically no resistance.

I cannot overstate how little they value their own existance. Just being able to touch dirt is a miracle to them. Kris using them as an outlet for whatever rage they have would be treated like the most precious gift.

Ves is an incredibly vulnerable person who's more or less imprinted on Kris. They do not have the worldly knowledge to make boundaries for themselves, to protect themselves or to understand when something is toxic. At least when it comes to their own wellbeing.

How do you need to be touched ?

Gently.

you need to be held as though you're going to break. you need someone to trace your scars like cracks in a wall, crumbling. their touch is almost painful; you've been without it for too long, without someone to hold you. but, you cannot bring yourself to pull away.

I wonder if Kris' plan is to change places with Dess. If Kris needs the soul to not only be in dark worlds but also to seal them, do they plan on finding Dess, giving her their soul, and switching places with her so everyone is happy again?

Suicide mission where everyone goes back to normal and they never existed to mess anything up...

OK so like, lets say Ves, by some miracle, gains/grows a soul and becomes 'colored in with love' from the expriences and relationships they've built with people.

Imagine all the things they suddenly have to contend with. Like actually getting hungry. Getting tired a lot easier because they're a fully living thing that can't just stay up for days at a time or sleep just anywhere. catching colds way easier, so they can't just sit in the rain all the time. They remain easily overstimulated, sensitive to light, and so on.

But they'd gain so many seemingly mundane and even annoying life experiences. Maybe grow an inch or two, their hair gets longer, their shape changes just a bit to fit their existance, grows and ages with everyone else.

GAH. So many things left for them to experience. If they aren't doomed by the narrative anyway.

OKAY, Kris 'Pathetic Yearning Fumbler' Dreemurr. Here we go.

Minor Spoilers ahead

They were briefly in therapy long before The Incident. Partly due to being the only human in town, partly due to their somewhat violent tendancies. More ideation than anything at first. Never malicious or purposfully mean. Just wondering. Interested in the body horror and gore of it all. But after expressing their thoughts to the therapist, all they learned was that hurting others is bad. So, they turned those tendancies on themselves.

the SH wasn't out of any mental or emotional distress. It was out of curiosity for the most part. "What would happen if i..?" Which led to a lot of scars littered across their body. Nowadays though, since the incident, it's come to involve a depressive and self destructive aspect to it. One that has led them to this promise they made.

Since the incident, they've blammed themselves endlessly, surpressed the memory, though it haunts them regardless. They were left in a very vulnerable and manipulatable state, causing them to be easily groomed (not sexually, mind you) by Carol for this 'plan' they have. They have to, it's the only way to fix it. To atone. To repent.

Unfortunately, despite all the trauma, they're still fucking 17. And they still feel things, even if they try their damndest to ignore it. They still care about people, they know what they're doing is wrong. They know they'll hurt people.

They know that they love her. Both of them, really. The old and the new. And damn does it hurt to see them together instead.

But it's fine, because you're not long for this world anyway. Everything is gonna go tits up and you're the one who's gonna take the brunt of it. Everyone can go on without you. And be just fine.

Despite being a horror fan, gets spooked easily. (she's so me fr)

Hoarding tendancies, may develop to include food hoarding once she has access to it by her own dime.

I do think Susie's feelings for Noelle are, at least somewhat, genuine. But I don't have much confidence she really understands the difference between romantic and platonic love at this point. ("In whatever way you meant, I like you too") Or, basing this off of this theory post, she's desperately trying to change that last panel that may involve noelle having to die. Trying to switch places with her. (its a good read, highly reccomend)

she's been spending more and more time in the dark world, and the scene with toriel from ch 4 triggered her so bad that she refused to go home again after.

she has an interest in cooking, but has never had the means to do so.

Triggered by being around deeply intoxicated people. My Susie's dad was specifically a drunkard and abuser. Her mother, broken by the father, was extremely distant and neglectful. A shell of a woman.

She's sensitive. Like very sensitive. Her emotions can get the better of her, especially when it comes to things she's passionate about. She's able to hide things to an extent, having grown up neglected and the like. But she is deeply effected by things, and they weigh on her for long periods. Prone to ruminating silently.
