I'm going to make an npc named "Salmon" whose first interaction is them asking you for an enamel pin of the rival shop owner Mercury from the hit game franchise PocketPawn. Where you battle pawn shop owners with your various trinkets and tchotchkes for the right to sell. And no one will know what I'm referencing hahaha

I'm an NPC

I sit behind a desk all day,

Answering phones and

Greeting clients and

Booking appointments and

Not speaking unless targeted with "A".

I smile and sit while clients

Speak harshly to me,

Scolding me for their dissatisfaction and

All I can do I sit and

Smile and

Feed them words such as

"I can only comp your next appointment" and

"Shall I get you the clinic director?" And

I am trapped in my role,

Aching

Pleading

Forcing the distress

Down down down so nobody could know

Should know

That I am only so experienced

In life,

At an age such as mine,

Just barely considered an adult.

And then I sit behind a desk and

Wait for the phone to ring and

Wait to greet clients and

Wait to be spoken to as if I were not

A real person.
