ADULTING IS DUMB
Went to the dentist, got a filling replaced (this is left over from last month's broken tooth) had an actual exam, and I need 4 more fillings. 🙄
Also the novicane is wearing off and my jaw hurts, but that's the least annoying thing happening today.
My stove is on the fritz. One burner is dead, one reaches plasma like temps and the other two are kinda meh about life. I put in my maintenance request that got kinda filled but I was never informened about what the fix was so when I get a survey from my property management company yesterday I kinda sorta (read: really) flipped and vented my spleen a little. Angry!starfire is rather eloquent in her writing and it's AMAZING.
Four hours later, I get an apology text from my apartment manager and a notification that I would be getting a new stove.
I just want to mention this is the same woman who sent a text AND an email to all tenants about a missing pair of AirBuds, but I guess a new stove doesn't warrant that same type of communication. 🤷🏿♀️
The only good things to happen today is that @petals-to-fish wrote an ADORABLE Jily fic and I picked up my copy of Kingdom Hearts 3, so Disney is currently my happy place.
Where's the aspirin?
Me: puts in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Son: That says 3 hours have fun not playing your game mom.
Me: (an hour and a half later) LOAD! I. NEED. TO. SHOOT. THINGS.

Unfortunately, while millions of dollars are being pumped into studying the harmful effects of games, very little is being done to study how we might use them to improve our mental health, whether as simple systems of home self-care or as part of a more rigorous clinical environment.
Working on something completely different now.
