Game App Review: WotF Part 2
Okay, so I know I said I'd be giving a more in depth look into this game, but to be honest... It never really peaked my interest. The concept behind it was pretty good - a CCG with questing etc. - but I was expecting a little more after playing Ayakashi.
Now maybe it's because I played the app on an Android phone, but it felt very laggy (yes I realise that isn't a word, there's just no other way to say it). The UI wasn't smooth as you'd expect from these sort of games, but I guess that could be because it's a freemium game; people are more interested in the new cards they can buy instead of the game play.
Like Ayakashi, you could go back and defeat areas to get bonuses, but WotF felt a bit boring really. Maybe this is the reason I stopped playing it, or maybe it was the lack of time I have in my day to day life (I'm currently writing this on my break at work), but this game felt like a little bit of a let down compared to Zynga's first CCG.
If you're reading this and are thinking; "But I like this game", then good for you.. Honestly I'm happy that you enjoy it and I hope you keep enjoying it, but all this game did for me is make me switch apps and play Zelda.
Maybe, just maybe, I will try to play this game again on the weekend, but for now I must bid it adieu.
