ok I will give the series this, they do explain Terrence’s presence here and Cai’s attitude towards him here in the series and we did expect it would happen, so yeah good job all around on this

still don’t give a shit about Terrence as a character though

and lmao Gav thinking Cai is kicking him out

I think I might make this a weekly or biweekly thing to keep track of my BLs and to hold myself accountable to watch them. I was in a BL rut for a couple weeks so I am now watching a lot of finished BLS. These will not contain spoilers. I will just tell you guys what I like and dislike about the show. The episode I am on is in parentheses.

Gameboys S2 (Ep 5)

Finally figured out how to watch it as I live in America (if you want to know just send me an ask)

This is one of my comfort BLs so I was very excited for Season 2

I like how they incorporate scenes from the movie, but at the same time adding new scenes for more context

You kinda get to see more of Terrence and Wesley’s relationship

Unforgotten Night (Ep 8)

I was really excited for this show when the trailer first came out

I feel as though I really like the characters, but the plot is not all the way there

Something about this show is not letting me drop it, but I feel the mafia plot could have been better

I thought the BDSM part was gonna be more prominent in the show

Vice Versa (Ep 5)

One of the best BLs I am watching rn

I love JimmySea and their acting

The plot is so good and I cannot wait for more

If there is one BL that would recommend for you to watch it is this one (and another one later on the list)

holy fuck, I’m mostly just happy that we have made it to the end of the hiatus and Gameboys is back!!!

I just watched the first two episodes and am about to rewatch and do some liveblogging of thoughts/reactions

but yeah gbs2 is looking amazing and I’m ready for this ride

Gameboys Season 2 Episode 1 - Liveblog

it’s so cute!

and yes so far the majority of the episodes are also in gameboys the movie but there are plenty of new additions and some scene extensions and also most of the Gav specific things aren’t in these first two episodes

I would love to do a gbtm and gbs2 scene by scene comparison the pacing of gbs2 opening scene is faster than the movie, with less Gav/chatting but more screenlife/irl transitions

Gav trailing after Cai trying to get his attention is adorable and Cai is still in full antichrist mode

first “new” scene is after the new intro with this kitchen scene and their sexual tension 

Cai and his sex drive/expression is something I wonder if they’ll ever really dive into this season since the skinship is already really high in these first 2 eps

I wanna believe this cutting onions scene is meta commentary on how much they cry

lmao at Cai closing the door

ok, them talking about Arthur and Leila missing his snoring made me cry 13 minutes into the new season and some tears

and lmaooooo at Leila knowing Cai is spoiled and generally not helpful 

I really like the transitions in and out of screenlife 

in the season Gav mentions talking to his aunt but in the movie, we see it but Gav doesn’t say it/presumably Cai doesn’t know

“how to know when you’re ready” “how to make love?” “how to make someone feel pleasure?” Cai, if you even once in your life just told any of these questions and topics and interests to Gav, I swear the world would be a happier place

“of course, because I love you” just act like it, please, a little, just pretend or ask yourself what would Gav do and do half of that

so Terrence probably made those statuses and then started driving?

even though it’s mostly scenes from the movie, I’m left completely satisfied  but I do really miss looking at this world from Gav’s POV

Gameboys Season 2 Predictions

ok, so I’ll share my thoughts and also what I think the trailers are leading and misleading us towards

originally after gbtm dropped and they said s2 was going to show us the other 80% of what happened during that time at Gav’s house, I readjusted my s2 expectations

I think s2 will probably end with the final CaiReel goodbye and potentially even set up a time skip

I originally guessed eps 1-5 would be gbtm terrority and 6-8 would be new stuff/Gav in NYC and Cai in Bukidnon 

but I think the majority if not entirety of s2 is going to overlap with gbtm

I think this GavTerrence cheating stuff the trailers are showing us is a misdirect, if they actually left Gav’s house, I would have guessed that Cai gets drunk and ends up kissing someone (maybe Wes or hell even Terrence) but I think they are going to avoid an actual s2 cheating plot and hopefully get Cai and Gav communicating for

I am here for whatever this Pearl Wesley flirtation seems to be - seems that Terrence was not liking what he was seeing with that  but I think whatever may happen, maybe a small smooch, it might not be too intimate 

I do expect a PND call with Pearl and someone at some point

I do wonder how the show would integrate Tita Susan - the sudden departure in gbtm might have a bigger focus in gbs2

Achilles - I honestly have no clue what his “real” plot would be but I hope he’s in the season meaningfully I really want a GavAchilles friendship to be onscreen 

I think by the end of season Cai’s prudishness will be fairly gone, he seems a lot more bold and confident with his “my property” line - so I think the jealousy will spur him into being more physical with Gav 

I bet the gang will get drunk and play spin the bottle or king’s cup or some other drinking game - I think the mood will still be high summer vacation vibes I double this bet and say at this point people will be kissing outside of their normal duo’s and that could lead to some almost bigger group thing but then someone (probably Cai lbr) puts a stop to it

I also bet there will be at least 2 different “walks in and sees too much” scenes 

I do also bet there might be a more explicit safe sex conversation maybe someone runs out of lube or condoms or something

I feel like a lap dance is gonna happen/maybe a strip tease

I’m just really feeling like the first half of the series is going to be like one big college party  very rambunctious
