This whole tangent that Nick Mullen made kinda reminds me of the whole thing with Chris Chan and just online cringe culture in general. Like he's right, anyone could make the slightest mistake and end being the subject of a cringe compilation or even be the target of constant harassment for years. There is some slight empathy but it's not even for the person being laughed at necessarily, it's just for the person you could have been. Like people who enjoy this stuff to this day are either incredibly mean spirited or they think "oh that could have been me"
