Hey everyone, here are some great Ted Talks looking at how video games actually affect the brain, as many of us have been having conversations about video games, their effects on the brain, and whether any "real world' benefits can be derived from video games. Apparently from a neuroscientist's point of view, there is quite a lot that can be gleaned.

Also! Since I won't shut up about it, here is a link to Professor McMenomy's site, based on her dissertation and her work in video game studies. This website looks at representations of gender and race within video games, as well as explores how players view themselves and others within gamespace. Regina is also a adjunct professor here at WSUV and you can find her on campus.
