So my prof for Educational game development asked the class to develop a common plot. A plot that our mobile games would all follow. She started at the back of the class and asked a student to write a few sentences then pass it on...this is the end result :P
Scientists and engineers all over the world begin to disappear one by one. A government organization has elicited your help in developing tracking software to secure the safety of the remaining scientists. Our operatives in the field are lead to believe this is the work of Dr. Overflow. Not much information can be found about Dr. Overflow but those who have heard of him tremble at the memory of what was known as the “Stack Overflow” tragedy and wonder if the two incidents are connected. Later on, a UBCO computer science professor Dr. Claz conducted an investigation on these two incidents. She constructed a robot to assist her in carrying out her investigations. It had been built to be one of the most powerful robots in the universe. The robot is also considered a major breakthrough in AI. Hopefully it is more helpful than harmful as the previous robot created by Dr. Claz was in charge of a post office, and due to an error would change all addresses to “null”.
The robot’s name is “Gladys”. One sunny Tuesday in August, Gladys detected the sound of footsteps. Unfortunately, someone is trying to escape the ‘Exposure laboratory’. You need to stop them. Out of the blue, a brilliant light illuminated the room. When you opened your eyes, a macho panda with a sorting hat appeared in front of you. The panda is armed with a Thor’s hammer. “Oh wow! What has this gotten into?” Gladys thought. “I hope I don’t end up locked up like Loki.” Luckily he was able to learn the ins and outs of portals after playing the game portal. And locked the panda in an infinite loop of portals. Gladys and Dr Claz fight their way to the capital to find the remains of the government.
The government believes that, after the “Stack Overflow” tragedy, Dr. Overflow must be keeping a close watch on the captive scientists and engineers. There hasn’t been a single hint or trace of their whereabouts in weeks. Dr. Claz and Gladys return to their laboratory to research some ideas to help located Dr. Overflow’s prisoners. After much deliberation, the team returns to the government organization to present their research. The boardroom and its government members fell silent as Gladys and Dr. Claz entered. “Gladys and I think that we have come up with a way to find the missing scientists and engineers”, bursted Dr. Claz excitedly. “After the horrors that occurred during the ‘Stack Overflow’ event, nobody could ever think to go anywhere without their personal electronic devices again”.There was a low and unanimous acknowledgement among the members. Gladys steps forward, and continues Claz’s thought. “If we were able to contact just one of the devices of the missing people, we might be able to discover its location, and thus the location of Dr. Overflow’s prisoners!”. To the boardroom, this look like a promising solution, and a great way to get other people to do the hard work.
The government, being aware that they needed someone to maintain the world’s infrastructure in the absence of the missing personnel, thought long and hard, until they were reminded of Lord Cthluhu; the madness of throwing an unprepared nobody into a position to maintain society, would completely throw off Dr. Overflow, having him overlook this person. While they knew that taking a lazy nobody and putting them in a position of absolute power, would be exhausting one of the world possibilities, resulting in a massive burst of entropy leading the world closer to the heat death of the universe, it was a risk they needed to take. Being a nobody, it was important to help the person learn along the way; their assigned location, was decided to be in the town, Todeearreh, where Dr. Frag has taken advantage of the absence of engineers to corrupt the programming of all the local attractions.
Your name is Norr, a 7 foot viking. You are the assistant of Dr. Claz. You are now given a mission to save the corrupted programs and recover the disappeared scientists. You have the greatest robot “Gladys” to guide your way as well as wisdom from Dr. Claz. But Dr. Overflow also has an assistant himself to prevent you from saving the world. He created a robot that has unmeasurable intellect. The robot has no name but is known as Kripp, who is an extremely intelligent robot who is said to be powered solely by orange juice, salt and puppies. Kripp has also created an army of robotic man-bear-pigs to stop you from recovering the scientists. He demands that you respect his “authori-tieeee”. Will you be able to save the world? Hopefully you will but no one will blame you if you don’t so long as you tried your best. But you better not screw up.
