Things are getting HEATED in the Premier League!
Its the New Year’s first proper Gameweek and marks the 19 Gameweek stretch to finish this fast paced yet safe season of the Premier League. With things heating up all across the League Table, the search for supremacy and the quest for European Berths sets this season up yet again for a photo finish. All is not done with the top of the table, Chelsea with a 6-point lead on Liverpool look solid at the back and a safe bet on winning the league. However, the Premier League being the league that it is, expect the unexpected. With games against the better half of the table left for them, expect them to drop a few no matter how unlikely it may look. A road block here and there and in no time the Top 2 might become a group of 4-5 teams. Liverpool coming into this year on a high after beating fellow title contenders, Manchester City will be looking to close the gap between them and table toppers, Chelsea. With some big games upcoming they must hold on and continue to work hard and under the masterful guidance of Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool will give Chelsea a run for their money. In positions 3-4-5 is where things get very tight. 4 teams, all separated by just 4 points. Tottenham with a tricky set of fixtures coming up, need to solidify soon and grind out victories against the elite if they want to have a good finishing position come March. Arsenal need to confirm their position by February or their intense Season ending fixture list might not allow them to celebrate St. Totteringham's Day. With their Champions League commitments, expect Arsenal to toil hard for any hope of a decent place in the tight top half. Come January the Reds of Manchester who are on a 5 match winning streak will be looking for a good run of victories in their upcoming matches. With key men hitting the right form, United are looking in red hot form to challenge the remaining teams. However their noisy neighbours, City who have just gotten off a morale denting and a vital misstep in their challenge for the League title. With the title all that more far away from them, they find themselves fighting unwanted battles with teams playing arguably better yet below them in the league. This could be a true test of Pep Guardiola’s managerial abilities in the Premier League. With the season set up beautifully its clear that the teams are looking to gather momentum in their quest for a successful run in the the Premier League.
