Just ran a 2-player Maze Rats game for coworkers last night and I think it went exceptionally well. The compactness and simplicity of the system has appealed to me for a long time and I was pleased to finally whip together scratch-off character sheets & spell cards for this game. Not the best layout/lettering I’ve ever done, but it got done and that’s the important thing.

Remember: scratch offs are easy, just packing tape laid down then paint over it with an approximate mix of 1/2 liquid dish soap and 1/2 acrylic paint. Would recommend free-handing it, my attempts to mask off/paint only very specific squares is where I normally run into trouble and lose the most time.

While away with friends for a weekend, one of the highlights was a “game” we played where our characters were just actual stuffed animals and the terrain was the house. I borrowed a most excellent snake to play who’s flaw of “unwavering faith in the Elder Gods and impending End Times” worked nicely with the Big Bad... (sadly?) “we” won and the White Golem was defeated... I forgot how fun it was to play at moving stuffed animals as if they were alive...
