2018 E3 with EA

it’s Saturday and the start of the E3 pressers!  First up is EA.

Let’s see what I will be Wow about this year.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

My live streaming notes from the press conference.

EA starts off with a bit of Anthem!  Great start with a cool teaser.

First up is Battlefield V. WWII with no lootboxes or premium pass.  They announced a royale play.  Game is due out October 19

Next they showed FIFA19 which looks amazing but not in my wheelhouse of games for my time or money.  Free trail now.

Streaming plus subscription - New team from Israel to get into the cloud gaming world.  Games anywhere anytime. Not prime time yet but coming.  Origin Access Premier to play all PC games that will launch later this summer.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order game from Respawn.  During the dark time when the Jedi are being hunted between episode 3 and 4.  Holiday 2019.

Star Wars Battlefront II - the admitted their mistakes and now comes an overhaul  of the player progression.  They are also are bringing a hunt mode.  coming is a squad system, star fighter mode, Clone wars is coming starting with Genosis.

Unravel 2 looks very interesting but not sure its on my KiWA list.  Yarn symbolizes love.  made to be played with two characters sharing one yarn to get through the adventures together.  You can play both characters in solo or with a friend.  New take on a side scrolling especially the graphics.  The game is out now.

A Way Out from 2017 - ?

Sea of Solitude from Jo-Mei (Berlin) where humans become monsters when they are lonely.  Very interesting concept and art work.  Early 2019

NBA Live 19 - Well, EA is known for their sport games.

NFLPA -  eSports playing Madden 18

Command & Conquer Rivals from Redwood Studios.  A mobile game.  Android pre-alpha today.

Anthem - oh yea!  Is BioWare is back? :)  Saved the best for last? A living shared world - like Destiny?  My base is single player experience.  Single player story with co-op multiplayer.  Designed in a way to add more story to allow players to stay in the world. Players are a ‘freelancer’ who are able to pilot the exo-suits called javelins with 4 different types if suits - Ranger, Colossus, Interceptor, and Storm that can also be customized for your own taste and style.  Due out February 22, 2019.

Overall, EA was just ok.  Nothing really exciting or earth shattering unless you count Anthem but nothing blah about either. What were your thoughts?

The sun is shining outside and tomorrow springs forward on the clocks and it is still early 2018 so it is time for an update!  KiWA!

PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds - Fantastic game whether playing with friends or alone.

Fortnite - Very fun battle royale game similar to PUBG with the same fun and something different by building stuff.

Deep Rock Galactic - Fun 1-4 player co-op playing space Dwarven miners.  Purchased early access.

Bounty Train - Found this little gem on Steam that helps me miss Railroad Tycoon less.

Civilization VI - Purchased.  Picked up the 2018 expansion.  KiWA 6.

Gears of War 4 - Maybe one day if I see it is on sale.

Battlefield 1 - Purchased in Feb 2018 at discount.

2017

For Honor - I am still interested but haven’t purchased it yet.  It’s on my remind me again list.

Horizon Zero Dawn  - Purchased and was playing.  I loaned out my PS4 to my daughter so haven’t picked up the DLC or finished the original game.  KiWA 5.

Halo Wars 2 - No longer sure I want to spend the money.

Mass Effect Andromeda - Purchased and was playing.  Maybe I one day will finish it but that time is on hold.  KiWA 3.

Thimbleweed Park - Purchased and finished it.  Always play full game.  KiWA 5.

Planet Nomads - Purchased and playing.  Loving it.  Early access makes me want to hold off playing it too much.

Star Trek Bridge Crew - Maybe, one day, I may.

Antihero - Purchased, played, loved it, and saw them at PAX. KiWA 4.

West of Loathing - Purchased and playing now and enjoying the jokes. KiWA 4

Destiny 2 - Purchased and love it.  Play lessened once hit max power and waiting on next DLC. KiWA 5

Assassins Creed Origins - Purchased in bundle.  Like it but my time in playing has been limited. KiWA 4

Star Wars Battlefront II - Purchased at discount and playing minimally. KiWA 4

Gigantic - Game has been cancelled.

Astroneer - Purchased on sale.  Early access on Steam.

Ylands - Purchased.  Early access on Steam. 

Middle Earth - Shadow of War - Out but not purchased with so many other games to play. 

Echo - Released but not purchased.

Call of Duty WWII - Release but not purchased but still interested.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition - Released.  I am holding off for Age of Empires IV.

KiWA past due.  What am I waiting for?

2016 Releases (March 2018 updates)

No Man’s Sky - Released.  Not sure with all of the other games if I still want this.

Recore - Released. Still holding off but still interested.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare -  Released.  I am still interested, but not on my top list and with CoD:WWII out I am going to pass.

Ratings

KiWA 6 - Ultimate, think like 5+.  Top option.

KiWA 5 - Great game and fun to play and worth the time and money.

KiWA 4 - Great game but.  Yea, the buts make it not top but still worth some time.

KiWA 3 - So so.  Yea, get it if on sale 

KiWA 2 - Nah.  There is a lower rating but to get to KiWA 1 means me buying the game and I won’t.   So KiWA 2 is the lowest and DON”T GET THIS GAME!

Jesus knows our pain

When we talk about God knowing us because he became a man and lived as we do.  And when we talk about Jesus being the lamb of God who takes away our sin by being the sin offering on the cross, we also need to remember that he knows pain as well.  Crucifixion is the ultimate in pain and torture.  So no matter the pain we experience in our lives and described it on a scale of 1 to 10, know with confidence that God knows your pain as he experienced it on the cross as Jesus.

Crucifixion has to be an 11 on the pain scale.
