hey so basically the only things I know about mp100 come from following you but now I'm really intrigued to read your fic and just wondered what I'd need to read/watch beforehand to understand it. should I read the entire manga? is watching season 1 okay? or would a wiki summary be enough to dive right in? thanks!!

Okay So!

Yes you can read ABoT without having watched or read mp100. You won’t know the characters, and you’ll miss all of the parallels and nods to canon, but since ABoT is an AU, it doesnt rely on knowing canon events.

You can also watch just the first season of mp100 (because mp100 is a good show and I recommend watching it for a fun time). This will give you like 90% of the context you need. You’ll know the characters and you’ll understand almost all the nods to canon. (Wiki skimming will at least give you the run down on the characters.)

You can also watch mp100 and then read the whole manga. This will give you some insight into the villain Mogami and expand on the characters more. Mostly I recommend doing this because mp100 is a good series and ONE is a great storyteller.
