that racist teacher guy: not only did we not have a lot to go on because his main trait was being there to be racist but theres not much left to do with him as a character anyway
mayor guy: hes just too good to be true but once again, thats the point of his character hes there to be so great and awesome or whatever (the fact that he didnt even care about the cheating lmao)
that redheaded pta mom: ofc we werent supposed to like her anyway,, the beginning she was cool she was a villain with motive. For the children, always the children. we want healthy food, and no drugs and yadda yadda and then this blonde bimbo lookin ass bitch gets a job at the mayors office and starts taking over?? ofc she’s actually passionate about the town so georgia itself isnt the problem moreover this womans a little self centered and didnt like not being the champion of the children.
nora : her being one of the only non mixed poc in the show is one of the only memorable things about her. one of the least developed characters in mang. I *like* that she wasnt as messy as the other girls,,, per se. but she was just a bystander in their fuckery and didnt really have opinions of her own. the most relevant thing she did this season was spill the beans on Ginny’s mom having a gun, and even that didnt have big consequences on her and her relationships to the other characters
ginny’s dad(?): ahhhh ok heres the thing, hes not a *terrible* dad by any means. its clear he cares about both ginny and jonothan and he cares about georgia too. hes a little shortsighted when it comes to georgia and because of that things dont always pan out. but its kind of not believable he didnt see how serious georgia was about mr.mayor sooner. like it wasnt until that one scene when he took a picture of georgia he realized, oh damn i just slept with her and got my daughter excited about us finally being a family and me being a presence in her life and now i realize that was a mistake,,, like man, come on dude.
*austin:urg see we’ve gotten plotpoints and stuff with him but i want to see MOREEE. i know hes like in 1st grade but still i want MORE. why is he obsessed with harry potter, has he always had a hard time making friends???does he have a predisposition to violence? hes growing up with two very hardheaded independent women in the household how does that effect him. when we saw that he ditched school to play in the woods my little heart deflated. seeing how excited he was with ginny’s dad thawed my heart. even when he warmed up to the mayor i was like awww.
abby: second least developed girl in mang but i like her she has potentiallllllll aghhhhh. like all we really get is that her parents are always fighting and shes hot and cold bitchy. that and she has *body isssuuueeees* but we only get to see these things when shes *alone* which makes sense, her character feels alone alll the damn time. shes lonely all the damn time. not in the way ginny is, whereas ginny most likely has social anxiety and is self concious about social situations. but abby’s alone in the sense where no one really gets what shes going through, and no one really cares. when she duct taped her thighs and was dared to switch clothes,, she said hell no and stormed off. no one really got why or asked, and unlike with the other mang girls, no one followed her. no one cared. and yeah that can be attrubuted to the fact that shes hot and cold with the bitchiness but they tolerate alot of shit from eachother in general but they still care,, theyre still empathetic. with abby she has to deal with it alone then after the fact dump everything on them, partly because she doesnt tell anyone, but also they dont care about her as much do they? like “oh maxine stormed off we have to talk to her” or “oh no ginny! you have our support even though we fight” nora has no personal problems of her own, shes the only one with a stable relationship and getting great head, with abby its “oh shes abby, she’ll get over it”
hunter: he was also one of those characters that’s too good to be true. but at least i feel like i have a better grasp on his motives,,, some of them. like he was an alright boyfriend. he asked her out, didnt rush her, communicated his feelings, met her family. but *why* was he interested in her in the first place. it seems like he was more into her than she was into him. well, that was true ginny couldnt stop cheating like the fuck. but yeah why did he like her so much anyway? idk.
marcus:marcus is literally so hot. like what the fuck. but anyways,,, looking at his actions prior to the reveals at the end of the season he is,,, for all intents and purposes. a raging douche. Dont roast me i like him but. He hooks up with the new girl, while stringing along padma, tries to bang her when shes hopped up on birthcontrol, tries to bang her when shes in a committed relationship ,sent nudes with her when she was- he literally only ever showed up to ruin her life tbh. BUUUUT ok after the finale it kinda makes sense. he wasnt that loner douche with a dead friend and a motorcycle he was every bit as awkward and lost as everyone else. he lost a friend, he had a hard time adjusting, hes been dampening his feelings and he wasnt necessarily adept to whats been going on around him, kinda stuck in his own head. he had an idea of what was going on, with his sister, maybe his other stoner friends but i do feel like he got a wake up call with ginny. however he did do padma dirty tho justice for padma.
ginny: She annoyed my ass more than anything but shes a 15 year old girl, basically the banality of evil. Is it bad to say i liked ‘loner ginny’ more than tight fitting crop top skinny jeans ginny? because i did. loner ginny had her head on her shoulders, priotities in tact, good head on her shoulders. but knee deep into the show ginny was highkey selfish, spoiled, and came down with a bad case of main-character syndrome. yes im talking about her bitching her entire 16th bday because her mom distanced her from her shitty hick family. not to mention she kept cheatingon hunter, not to mention she got mad at her dad for hooking up with her mom, among other things. Like one part of me gets it, she finally is here to stay in a place with friends that care boys that pay attention to her and a social life and home life thats actually stable and shed do anything not to lose it. but on the other hand, loner ginny understood that not everything revolved around her. and while it wasnt fair what ginny had gone to up until this point, at least she wasnt constantly fucking over the people that cared about her.
maxine: shes soooooooo 💖✨⭐️❤️🎄. shes just cute and flighty and wants love. yes shes *white* so shes out of touch and ignorant yet shes a rlly good friend. there are people who may say that she sucks up all the air in the room and i disagree she just happens to be one of the mang girls with a life,,, and a personality. shes the glue THE GLUE THAT HOLDS THEM TOGETHER AND THE LIGHT OF EVERYONES LIFE
georgia: obviously. georgia is perfect. georgia is iconic. georgia is girlboss. georgia never did anything wring. everything georgia did was validated. but her an a jesus candle
