My cat joined a gang

In early April of 2017, my cat died. Simba was 19 in human years—about 92 in cat years. At that point he was the longest I’d ever had a companion. He’d been my comfort through all sorts of drama, loneliness, and change. We moved 4 times. He had a wicked sense of humor (if people don’t realize cats have a sense of humor they’re tripping). He was afraid of nothing. And he remembered EVERYTHING. If you crossed him or hurt him he never forgot. If he didn’t like you you knew it. But when my kid came along he was amazing. He never once hissed, bit or scratched my Sun.... which considering he once terrorized a vets office, is saying a WHOLE lot. I was still in shock about Poppy... so I feel like I didn’t really start to miss Cat till recently. For some reason, these days I really miss him.
