long story short: she didn't like what the family in her own life was doing (mostly: going off in their own directions, enjoying themselves) so she basically wrote fanfiction of her own family being the way she wanted them to be

im also confused as to why rogue is the one personally attacking her since out of all the xmen i would think rogue is the one who would understand the need for second chances the most?? especially since they both come from the same place…

this has also been brought up in discussions of the book before! in fact, both wanda and rogue used to be members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants! both had been given forgiveness and second chances by Xavier as well - the primary difference was, Wanda went to the Avengers, and Rogue hung around with the X-Men. if i remember right, this kind of shit is part of the reason why Rogue forgave Wanda/gave her a second chance in Children's Crusade in the first place.

rick remender, in talking about the series recently, said that Rogue represented the "X" and Wanda represented the "A" of Uncanny Avengers, which seems to basically be setting up a thematic undercurrent of "x-men fucking suck, avengers rule, avengers know how to help mutants better than x-men"

rick remender is a bad writer. his Captain America run is all kinds of terrible too.
