Soon enough the garden will be filled with the laughter and voices and questions of garden tourists and friendly visitors...and close neighbors and dear friends...and patient photographers and my own weather whining and cursing...and weed eaters and leaf blowers and...the sounds of an awakened, busy, heavily-used garden. Yours may have the same future ahead. So why not let's savor these last quiet, private moments while we largely have the garden to ourselves. Brown and barren though it may be. Soon enough...we will be caught pruning in our pajamas, coffee cup in hand, with mud up to our knees and dirt under every fingernail. So.
