obsessed with how they really styled his face/facial hair to make him look kinda old timey and almost chinese opera ish (those eyebrows!! just without the crazy blush around the eyes)

yet he makes it so expressive anyway

with him on screen regularly, it's become obvious that of the younger actors only regina wan, tan jianci, and sunny wang hold even close to a candle to his abilities. i think the writing for tang ying is particularly uneven so i'm not holding it against dong jie, but sadly elvis han and ma tianyu just don't measure up
