All Of The Flowers

My winter garden.

As with most gardens this time of year, it’s not at it’s snazziest. Mostly weeds (which I’ve done something about, believe it or not), the beginnings of my black-and-white columbine crop for the year (not to be confused with the weeds!), and my two snowdrops (which have put up leaves, but no flowers, boo hiss!). Then, there is the most important part - my growing collection of hellebore! I discovered these guys last winter and nabbed four. Of course, back then I could tell you all of the varieties...now I can’t even remember the new ones from this year!

One of last year’s beauties, blooming like a champ this year! Possible a Painted...?

Pretty sure this one was an Onyx Odyssey.  I may have an unhealthy obsession with black flowers.

Fire and Ice! Saw these guys in a catalogue at the end of the season last year and fell in love! About died when I found one at the nursery!

My white single from this year. Forgotten the name already. Go me.

Black Diamond, my black single from last year. Rawr!

White double. Pretty sure this one was a Sparkling Diamond. The main thing, though, is that it’s the one the slugs like. Seriously, this was the only bloom that hadn’t been nibbled.

And my new double black which might be another Onyx Odyssey, but I don’t think it was? I really need to hang on to the markers that come with them...
