hi!!!!! I'm currently reading war games and I'm loving it!!! I'm like halfway through and dim really excited! really love the characterization (specially early chapters zuko, he is so zuko) and i love how you layer the angst with humor because i normally get to attached to the fics I'm reading and this feels really nicest because yeah, it's angst but I'm not depressed!!!

anyways the main reason to this ask is to tell you that i have a feeling that zuko is in the spectrum so i wanted to ask, did you willingly write autistic zuko or you just happened to write zuko so greatly and truthfully that hes as autistic as he is in canon??

i love your zuko hes great, i also loveeee your ocs they are cool asf and thanks for adding suki 🙏🙏 when I realized that it was her in the cell i almost screamed i love her.

Whether Zuko is on the spectrum in this fic is up to the reader, but I think you can certainly make a good case for it. He was written with that in mind, but I think it's still up to interpretation.

HIHIII!!!!! i actually finished chapter 10 like a week ago but i forgot to write you this so here I am.

OK SO, WE GOT ZUKO SMILING!!!!! WE GOT PLOT, WE GOT WATER TRIBE CAMP WE GOT SOKKA TELLING THE TRUTH TO KATARA AND MAKING A STEP FORWARD (!!!!#!$+YESSSSSSSHSJAJAKKA!!!!!!2!!#). sreader your plot chapters are AMAZING like OMG UGHHSHD the characterization, the way you describe stuff, EVERYTHING!!!!! i do looove the angsty chapters but god this chapter felt good.

also I know i promised that i would draw their reunion (i still can't believe they are together again), AND I WANT TO I REALLY DO, but I've lost my pen so you'll have to wait some time 😞😞

i wanted to remark how much I loved the Katara and sokka talk, it was soul healing, the characterization and dialogue were insane and i loved every bit of it. OH and talking about characterization, IROH OMG, you write him greatly, i love him and I can't understand why people hate him, yeah he's not the best but c'mon he's trying so hard!! i also want to know what's up with jet (as much as hate him but whatever) and a bit of suki. and Ara!!!!! i would love to see her make some friends and heal a bit 🙏🙏

also the bit with sokka trying to read the book was great, just a silly-awkward moment between siblings <33

i really don't know what to say, i feel so bad for sokka, i feel like he's going through (kinda) the same zuko went through. he's feeling guilty and angry about so many things and now jets arm... it just reminds me a bit of when zuko had to close sokka's cut with firebending

and Chang!!! idk why but i feel like he's just gonna start saying everything that happened in prison

and i want so bad a sokka and zuko reunion ☹️☹️☹️☹️ idc if it's angry sreeady (ngl I'd prefer a emotional one, at the level of their last goodbye) but i want it!!!! and i want everyone to be find the truth!!! and to help my boys!!! and make them heal!!!!

fist things first, im still CRAZY MAD at jet for likeeverything but i really really really want a jet redemption, cuz yk, the more the merrier so I'm LOVING his baby steps, he's trying but his brain can't really comprehend that not everything is black and white

oh and idk if this was something you were trying to do but i found a bit of parallelism better how sokka and zuko started to bond and how jet and sokka are kinda bonding (ex, talking in a tent while it's pouring outside, chopping the food and maybe the bath thing(?? i think that's a bit of a stretch but whatever) also, the thing with medics feeling bad for zuko, trying to help him,,, it's a recurring theme

idk but this last couple of chapter have remind me of the past, but somehow better (it's still shit tho)

Actually yes!! You caught on! It feels similar because Sokka was in this exact position with Zuko & he handled everything… not so great. Being too pushy, asking too many forceful questions, being a bit overbearing - and now he is more understanding of Zuko and his struggle to find words to explain things or his inability to open up (because Sokka is going through ALLLLL that right now in similar situations) idk if it will lead to him and Jet bonding but you never know lol.

Yes!!! Reunions are starting next chapter it’s going to be a doozy!! I promise Zuko will get some much needed healing & Sokka will also get a chance to find a secure place to open up and start to deal with things.
