Ridiculously pretty. 😂 I have seen a couple of gifs and clips, but have mostly avoided the leaks. But what I have seen has made me rather excited to see the film when it is finally released! (and the sudden surge of adult Zukka fanart has been wonderful to behold 😬)

"The plan was never to let Silva run you through with a fucking sword." Her face was pinched in a tense frown, disapproval etched into every wrinkle.
His general's silhouette was a dark smudge against the empty gray sky. The vast canopy of nothingness left his eyes to dart around, trying to stay focused in spite of the overwhelming pain radiating from his abdomen. So naturally, they focused on her, as always.
Only Rosalind and the boundless nothingness overhead. Just what his life had become within a few simple minutes.
“You said to stop Saul.” The ragged pants interrupting his sentence sent sparks of pain through his chest. A wheezing wet cough followed them and he felt a trickle of blood escape his lips to drip into his beard.
He had done as she commanded. And when he had drawn his blade, he had carved his own fate into stone. He was almost thankful for the pain, the blood loss making his mind light so it couldn’t dwell too much on what had happened. How he had lost his best friend, his son, his last shrapnel of morals in one simple duel. And it felt like he would lose his life too. All for her.
“Just shut the fuck up.” His general's hands were stained red with his blood as she pressed onto the hole in his stomach. He took another shuddering breath. It was all worth it.
"You could just say you'd miss me." He tried to smirk at her, the muscles of his face stretching taunt. Breathing became harder, his heart racing. Pumping his blood, his life out of the wound so it could seep into the grass.
Swagger had always been his shield, his way of saying what Rosalind would shy away from hearing. Make it a joke, make it light and she would roll her eyes and call him an idiot but she would overlook the thinly veiled truth between them. And still, it was painstakingly obvious.
He had taken Saul's blade for her. He was bleeding out for her.
He had come so far from the arrogant boy that had become intrigued by the stone-hearted war general now kneeling next to him. He had thrown away that naivety for her as well. But the one thing that stayed the same was the burning hunger inside of him, craving her praise, her attention, a simple scrap of acknowledgement. Pathetic as it might be, pathetic as she so often called him, for once the subtle hints and tells he had learned to interpret weren’t enough. This one time he needed to hear.
Say it.
He willed her.
With a sharp motion, Rosalind wiped a stray strand of hair out of her face, leaving a smudge of his blood on her pale forehead. In a twisted way, it suited her. Turning her into a painting made by an artist trying to capture her iron-willed determination. His general, who could command the skies. Her lips thinned further, anger leaking out of every pore.
"If you die here, I'll fucking kill you."
There was no doubt in his mind that she meant it. He swallowed the metallic taste of blood.
“Because you would miss me.” His lopsided smirk slipped from his face, fingers digging into the soft ground. Blackness started to creep in on the edge of his vision and only logic told him the roaring in his ears was all in his mind. Still, he clawed at consciousness, straining to hear her answer, see her face. Anything would be enough. A flicker of acknowledgement.
Rosalind's eyes blazed white as she refocused on the damage Saul's sword had dealt.
“Because I have plans for you. And you will do as I say.”

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?: trying to figure this out was legitimately bonkers bc i remember nothing about any of my fics BUT i do recall cracking up like, the whole time i wrote you're my christmas (a gift that's sure to last), because it's just like...a bunch of half-drunk party banter between everyone at mid-wilshire. i find those scenes difficult to write but also very fun at the same time. especially tickled by:
Tim’s not surprised to find her now holding court with Bailey, Nolan, and James, her drink in one hand, her other gesturing wildly around her head as the group laughs at her. He slides the plate onto the counter between them, then drapes his arm around her lazily, his fingers curving around her waist as she continues what seems to be a story about the two of them, if the looks he’s getting from Nolan and James are any indicator. “So, I’m about three jello shots in and I’m already not having a great time, especially because somebody,” she pokes Tim in the ribs with her thumb, “isn’t even wearing an ugly sweater, which we’d discussed him doing the night before.” Tim realizes she’s talking about the year before and shakes his head, but a smile eases its way onto his face as he takes another sip of his whiskey. “That’s the least surprising thing you’ve said so far,” Nolan shrugs, popping a miniature crab cake into his mouth. “I don’t know why you expected Tim to show up in an ugly sweater. I don’t think he owns one.” “I don’t,” Tim nods, raising his glass over to Nolan. “See?” Lucy scoffs, rolling her eyes. “Okay, that’s not the point at all.” “No, the point is that he was supposed to at least have an ugly sweater on,” Bailey offers, gesturing with her wine glass. “I’m sure it would’ve been way easier to ignore him if he had looked,” she trails off, glancing over at Tim. “Yeah, if he hadn’t looked ridiculously attractive.” “The man can’t help that,” James shrugs, and Tim wrinkles his nose down at Lucy, his eyes narrow. “Why are we doing this?"
😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?: i feel like the answer to this is supposed to be yes but is probably no? i am sure there are moments it's felt like it but i am typically just kind of like bopping around writing in a vacuum and then when people read it i'm like oh right that was released publicly heh
except maybe we're all ghost stories at the end. that fic i totally wrote to be mean to my readers in a non-playful way. whoops!
💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?: oof...i think about the tim from maybe we're all ghost stories at the end a lot, but i feel like none of the other fic-chenfords i have in my head have really broken my heart. now, the little chenfords that live in unwritten things and swirl around my brain all the time? they break my heart 10 to 1. which is silly to say because most of them will never make it onto the page for me, but i think that's why they break my heart more. because the fics i write usually have resolution or at least enough of one that i feel comfortable letting them go, ya know?
anyway this is long let's just pretend i answered this question normally

what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Um.... oh man. I’ve been working on a large alternate universe set of series, and there are quite a few that end angstily because they are solving a rather big problem. But... probably Never Let Me Go.

do you write crossovers? Sort of?? I don’t think they’re crossovers in the traditional sense, but I take fables or myths and adapt them to fit into this Doctor Who universe I’ve made. Can’t explain it really, if you’re interested, check out The Lost Soul, A New Meaning, Curiouser and Curiouser, and As Dreamer’s Do.
have you ever received hate on a fic? I wouldn’t call it hate, just passive aggressive feedback and always from people who don’t seem to have ao3 accounts. And one of them took it back? So... idk.
do you write smut? if so, what kind? Yes. Not into overly graphic or super vocal type of stuff, though. I write feeling driven stuff. :)
have you ever had a fic stolen? No.
have you ever had a fic translated? No but that would be amazing!
have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but when I wrap up my final series and have the capacity to start something new I would LOVE TO!
what’s your all-time favourite ship? Um. The Doctor and Rose. Ten and Rose are my bread and butter, but Nine and Rose make me sing. Nine makes some appearances in my stories, I simply couldn’t write their love story without him in some way. Nothing about his appearances are traditional, but still.
what’s a wip that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? I had one on Teaspoon and an Open Mind called “Once Upon a Time” or something where the Doctor lands in a dying Kingdom and meets Rose who is the princess, but I kinda took that idea and LOOSELY changed it into Burn Like the Sun which I like a million times better, so I doubt I’ll ever go back to it.
what are your writing strengths? I think emotions, action, and banter? lol
what are your writing weaknesses? Oh, I think there are lot personally. I feel like I’m too wordy, and I can’t for the life of me write a story that sticks to canon even though I really, really, really want to!
what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I wouldn’t even attempt it. I don’t want to mess it up!
what was the first fandom you wrote for? Harry Potter AGES AGO! Like... ages. I deleted my old fanfiction.net account those stories used to be on, and I switched to Doctor Who but never published anything until November 2020.
what’s your favourite fic you’ve written? Oh, that’s hard. I think ‘Til Kingdom Come because it was a behemoth of a story but everything came together and I am quite proud of it.

An accident was easy to explain. Too much fireball here. Too much Malibu there. Accidents happened when drunk and were so inexplicably easy to write off when you knew the game, or that was what Goldie wanted to believe as she thrust her head into the toilet.
As food and alcohol splattered, the image of her stomach’s rugae squishing together compelled her deeper. Fortunately, this was temporary for another round of vomiting demanded her attention, but despite her wretched heaves, she identified slippers scratching along a tile floor.
“Eugh.”
“Don’t you start,” Goldie groaned. She raised her weary head, drool riding on the side of her mouth.
Scrooge winced. “Don’t you start something,” he shot back, though it sounded much weaker than he intended. “Ack, my aching head.”
“Your aching head.” Wiping her mouth with her sleeve and too weak to drag herself to bed, she fell on his lap, pleased to note his robe wasn’t stained. “My aching everything.”
A light snort pushed tumbled free. “Ah, yes,” he patted her hair, “don’t you think we’re getting too old for this?”
“Shut your mouth.”
“Just a thought.”
A lie, of course, they knew, and Goldie’s discomfort expanded in an instant. But always good at misdirecting, she patted his pocket. “What’s with the box,” she murmured lazily.
“Nothing important,” Scrooge sighed. His pats turned softer, tender, only occasionally getting tangled in her hair. “It can wait ‘til morning.”
“Good,” she snapped. “Now, turn off that light. It’s so damn bright.”
“Lass, the light isn't on.”
“Then what’s that glow?”
“Oh,” Scrooge chuckled, reaching for the box in his pocket, “That’s just the night light I had installed for Donald and Della when they moved in. Cute, isn’t it?”
Cute wasn’t what she’d say. Quaint wasn’t what she’d say either. With a lot of words in mind, Goldie chose to say neither, tangling herself deeper in the softness of his robe. “Whatever,” she grumbled. “Just turn it off.”
Scrooge closed the lid with a soft click and set it aside.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the fic so far 🥰 thank you for saying so.
With what I have written so far, almost 8 of my 12 planned chapters, there's no additional pairings beyond canon things (mentions of past Haley/Hotch, references to Will/JJ because Henry is talked about).
But if I do end up adding any additional pairings, they will more than likely be Morcia (Morgan/Garcia) and Jemily (JJ/Emily). Those tend to be my defaults when I write HotchReid. My outline doesn't plan for them to become part of it right now, but I never say never and there will probably be hints here and there if you squint. I'm biased like that.
And of course I'll add them to the ao3 tag if I do! Thank you for asking dear 💕
