I mentioned Garghoul having parental instincts in an earlier script fun thing. And I’m working with him in a drabble and I keep getting the nagging feeling that he is just this overprotective dad sorta guy who loves to scoop the Fears boys up in his wings like ‘there there little squishy wingless gargoyle babies, you will one day be gray and rocky like me and you will take to the skies and terrorize whoever you want. But right now, Seeker Zhalia says you need to eat your broccoli and do your chemistry homework, so off you trot’
I just love him being so loving because after Defoe he was Bonded with Zhalia and got to ‘interact’ properly with Gareon and Kilthane and KB and Strix and learn how a real Seeker treats their Titans, especially one who pretty much views hers as family rather than tools, and after being so lonely in the cave and catching glimpses of all the small stone gargoyles in his honor across the french cities he had the weird idea that all those little gargoyle statues were like his children all grown up without him and now he has to protect and babysit and rock!cuddle with people close to Zhalia because they’re his family now and he’s so much older than them as a Litho-Titan.
Plus if you see his face, come on! You can’t deny that we need to see him with happy eyes and a little gargoyle smile. And when he cuddles or is cuddled it sounds like theres rocks grating somewhere but it’s actually just him purring.
