Beer-steamed potatoes are a tasty change from regular steamed potatoes. While the garlic adds a depth of flavor, the beer gives the potatoes a rich, slightly bitter taste. This easy and tasty dish goes well with many different kinds of meals.
Ingredients: 6 medium potatoes, washed and quartered. 1 bottle of beer. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Chopped parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: In a large pot, pour the beer and bring it to a boil. Add the quartered potatoes and minced garlic to the pot. Cover the pot and let the potatoes steam in the beer for about 15-20 minutes or until they are fork-tender. Once the potatoes are cooked, drain any excess liquid from the pot. Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste. Gently toss the potatoes to coat them evenly with the olive oil and seasoning. Transfer the beer-steamed potatoes to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
