Indulge in creamy, flavorful mashed potatoes infused with garlic, herbs, and cheese, perfect for Thanksgiving or any special occasion.
Ingredients: 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and quartered. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley. 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1/2 cup milk. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a large pot of salted water, boil the potatoes for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are soft. Set the butter in a small saucepan and melt it over medium-low heat. Mix in the garlic and cook for two to three minutes, until the garlic smells good. Put the potatoes back in the pot after draining them. Use a potato masher or fork to mash them until they are smooth. Put the garlic butter that has been melted on top of the mashed potatoes. Grate the Parmesan cheese and add it to the milk along with the chopped parsley and chives. Mix everything together well. Add pepper and salt to taste. Serve hot, and if you want, top with more chopped herbs.
