Misako tries to convince Garmadon and Wu to go to therapy because their pasts with their father have more dark secrets than forced healthy eating and training.

Sensei Garmadon looked at Wu and sighed deeply.

"How did we let ourselves get pushed into this?" he said as they stood outside the office, waiting to see the therapist.

"You tell me," Wu glanced at him somewhat irritably.

Garmadon looked down at his hands, which trembled anxiously despite his efforts to hide it, though he didn’t want to admit it.

"Yeah..." he exhaled again, recalling the events...

"What did they tell the ninjas?" Garmadon asked curiously as he and Misako sat at the dinner table. "Suddenly, it seemed as if they had begun to value Wu and me more..."

"I told them the truth," Misako said without hesitation.

"Excuse me?" Garmadon looked at her puzzled, displeased with what he was hearing.

"I told them how your father was overly strict about diet and training." Misako watched Garmadon with confusion. "I think they deserve to know."

"Yes," Garmadon swallowed hard.

Part of him was glad they knew, but he couldn’t help but feel... empty. He tried to hide how his hands trembled, but Misako noticed.

"Are you okay?" she asked worriedly, coming over and sitting beside him. "Maybe I shouldn’t have told them..."

"No, no," Sensei Garmadon sighed heavily. "It’s better they know. It just makes me a little nervous..."

"But I didn’t want to tell them everything." Misako gently placed her hand on Sensei Garmadon’s trembling one, trying to comfort him.

"Why?" Sensei Garmadon asked with dry mouth.

Why was he so nervous?

Misako softly rubbed her hand in his and looked into his eyes. She had no idea how much that simple gesture calmed him.

"How could they face the fact that their hero was not only overly controlling but had already been obsessed with himself?" Misako spoke these words with a hint of anger.

"Yeah, about father..." Garmadon sighed and looked down at the floor. "Maybe hes's not that bad after all... You know I dabble..."

"No," Misako replied sharply, and Sensei Garmadon looked at her in surprise. She bit her lip as she did when she was angry.

Garmadon couldn’t stop wondering how he deserved so much compassion... how he deserved her, Lloyd, and everyone else...

"Don’t you see?" Misako asked Garmadon with a sad voice, and he looked at her strangely.

"What?" Misako sighed and took his hand completely into her own.

"It’s not easy for me to say this, but... the future depends on it." Misako hesitated but then lost her voice.

For a moment, Sensei Garmadon thought it was because she was afraid of him.

"I'm sorry," Garmadon said softly, pulling his hand away from hers. "For everything..."

"Garmadon," Misako looked at him worriedly. "It's okay..."

"But, no..." Sensei Garmadon started to breathe rapidly again. "I did it..."

"Garmadon..."

"The terrible things I’ve done... I didn’t deserve you..."

"Garmadon, I beg you," Misako tried to soothe him. His hands were trembling.

"I know you’re afraid of me..."

"No, I’m not afraid," Misako said, grabbing both of Garmadon’s wrists into her own.

"But..." Garmadon began, but Misako gently interrupted him.

"It’s not easy for me to talk about this... but the future will see. You’re constantly nervous, today especially anxious. It’s been almost two years since the final battle, and you still keep pushing yourself even though you know everyone has forgiven you... Should I keep going?"

"But we’ve solved everything before Lloyd was born. You and the Elemental Alliance helped us." Garmadon stood up and began to walk around.

He hated how his hands trembled. "I'm not nervous,"

Misako looked at him with a gentle eyes that immediately exposed his soul.

"Do you need more proof than yourself? Don’t you see your hands? Everything is going up, both you and Wu..."

Garmadon gave in. There was no point in fighting anymore... if he couldn’t get past his past with his father, how could he get past everything he had done?

And that was the key to living with his family... Maybe it was better for them if he left...

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t notice Misako until she hugged him.

He allowed himself to sink into the warmth of her embrace, which immediately calmed him.

"There’s a solution," Misako said after a long hug, pulling back slightly to look him in the eyes. "It won’t be pleasant, but you have to promise me that you and Wu will go..."

"Yes," Garmadon hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. "I was a little emotional, so I promised her..."

"That woman will finish you off," Wu joked, but Garmadon sensed a flicker of jealousy in his eyes. He knew Wu’s attitude towards Misako, so he hoped it was just his imagination.

"In any case, if this goes badly..." Wu hesitated. "It won’t be good for you."

"I know," Garmadon swallowed. Finally, the doors opened, and both Garmadon and Wu entered nervously...

"Where are dad and Uncle Wu?" Lloyd asked Misako while he was with the other ninjas in the dojo.

"Well..." Misako exhaled.

She had to tell them.

"It would be best if you didn’t mention this in front of them anymore."

They nodded shyly, understanding.

"But do you remember how I told you about their father?" Misako said somewhat angrily. "Well, that’s not all."

"Go on," Kai sighed.

"Yeah..." Misako was clearly a little annoyed. "I’ll be brief," she said. "Besides being obsessed with healthy eating and a disciplined lifestyle, he was also obsessed with himself. That might have even contributed the most to all the problems Garmadon and Wu have.The Elemental Alliance and I helped them face most of those issues before you were even born.

"Lots of information," Lloyd said, clenching his fists. "Why do all of you, especially dad and Uncle Wu, speak so highly of grandpa when he was obviously terrible?"

Misako corrected him. "He wasn’t bad to anyone except his own sons," she explained. "He was a good man and did a lot for many, but the paternal role...," she hesitated.

"I have a ton of questions!" Zane interjected. "How did you all find out about this?"

"Well..." Misako paused and then launched into a long conversation with the ninjas.

"How did it go?" Misako nervously watched Garmadon as he entered through the door.

He looked neutral, but that bothered her. She hoped she had steered him onto the right path.

"Honestly, pretty good." Garmadon replied after a moment of thought. "Still don’t understand why everyone idealizes the therapist, but okay."

"And then?" Misako was still somewhat anxious.

"We’ll go a few times a week..."

"Does it help you?" Misako hit the mark immediately. "Don’t go just because you promised me."

"I feel much better, and I think it will help me in the future." Garmadon said, surprised at himself. "If not, I’ll easily stop."

"So he's good?" Misako looked at him eagerly.

"Yes, he’s good!" Garmadon smiled and hugged her. He felt so relieved.

"How’s Wu?" Misako stepped back.

"He didn’t say much, but he talked a lot more than I did." Garmadon smirked. "He’s kept everything inside longer..."

"Yeah," Misako also smiled.

"Let’s sit down, I’ll tell you everything..." Garmadon said sharply.

"So, first we came..."

And he talked for hours, and Misako couldn’t stop herself from laughing. She saw that therapy was already having positive effects.

She knew it would help them. Together with her and the ninjas, they would finally resolve their issues.
