So I'm not keen on Stiles being in the FBI? I feel like he could never abide by such strict regulations to achieve justice? Like, he would want to bend the rules or go above the limitations of the law in order to help people, and he wouldn't be able to if he joined the police force.
Ooooooooohhh this is definitely a valid criticism! It’s a good point; it’s why I like thinking of him as a supernatural PI and Lydia occasionally helps but she’s very busy with her PhD my queen
How'd you like La La Land?
I really loved the choreography, the cinematography, the costumes, the vibe, and the acting.
But I thought that Emma Stone’s character was written extremely weakly-- she wouldn’t have had any personality if it weren’t for Emma’s portrayal of her. And I thought that the lyrics were extremely clunky and the music fell flat, which was disappointing. I get that the music was trying to go for an old Hollywood vibe, I just wish I liked it more.
Overall I loved the story and I would watch this movie again, obviously, and it’s beautiful, but I do have my criticisms of it and they’re valid to my experience with this movie.
Thoughts on Cole and Phoebe? I loved them and felt so bad for Cole. He wanted to be good so badly.
They’re one of the biggest reasons I can’t rewatch Charmed-- I shipped them so hard, I know they were supposed to be endgame, and I feel like as an adult I would rewatch this show and go “oh. hmmm. this is hella problematic.”
They were so passionate and lovely and connected and it was wonderful, but my favorite part of Phoebe and Cole is when they were committed and together and a team and trusted each other and knew each other very well.
Oh, and the banshee episode? My. God. Save me please???
I hate that Julian had to leave to go be on Nip/Tuck but WHATEVER at least I could ship Leo and Piper even while I was hating on Coop.
