Busy Saturday Night
Cat-Good evening, everyone! It's almost two here, and Sabrina and I have just gotten back from our first Pub Crawl! It started at 8 PM at The Skeff, then we moved on to The King's Head, then Garveys, then The Stock Exchange, which was probably one of my favorites because of the way it's set up. The top floor has screens with prices of drinks that rise and fall like the stock exchange, so it is possible to get your drinks for very little money. After The Stock Exchange, we moved on to "Galway's Premier Nightclub," Karma. Karma was okay, we didn't stay very long, because at this point we were all a little tipsy. Let me elaborate a little on the pub crawl. We paid a 15 Euro cover for the Crawl itself, which was hosted by the Viking Pub Crawl Company, which runs in both Galway and Dublin. For the cover charge, we are given a wristband that will get us into the club, and a shot at every bar that we visited. We met some very nice people--a couple of girls from Germany, a visiting Italian woman, and some locals. The Locals were very welcoming and sometimes a bit overwhelming and overbearing. The Crawl covered roughly half a mile of downtown Galway, going back and forth to the pubs, crisscrossing the roads, and generally having a good time. We had an excellent guide, a Local girl named Kiva, who made sure that we all got our drinks and kept up with the group. Overall it was a fantastic night, and while it isn't something I'd do with any regularity, it is something that I would recommend, because not only do you see the city, but you do it with a guide and a wonderful group people.
Literally have the best friends ever
today was enjoyable and I can continue making out with random people. Joy.
