Entry:
Brave in the midst of combat, her skills are useful for the S.T.A.R.S. unit. She is adaptable and observant, which makes her a quality member of the Alpha team. Her personal background also gives her an advantage when it comes to working with less fortunate others. Though I would consider this a potential hindrance in particular circumstances. Her sense of empathy could cost her a great deal. She also expresses a particular persistency once she has found a trail to follow.
This has lead me to turn to rather extreme countermeasures to deter her suspicions of the Spencer Estate and its involvement in the attacks in the Arklay Mountains.
I have found myself spending much time with her, in hopes that she will come to trust my judgement.
I was not expecting her to take the bait so easily, nor myself to... display such an eager invitation to continue this ruse. The risks I am taking are high, but if Umbrella were to be uncovered, that would be an issue. For me, especially.
My priorities remain the same. Gather intel so I can be free of Umbrella. Jill is just a means to an end.
End report.
Except everything in his gut was screaming in protest to what he truly felt. He was not supposed to enjoy Jill's company as much as he had. He was not supposed to allow any of this to get this far. He was supposed to make sure that Jill took the bait, he strung her along a little before he turned around and told her that it was unprofessional for them to be seen together as anything outside of coworkers. He was her boss, after all, and they were officers of the law.
Albert found himself rubbing at his forehead before he brushed his fingers through his hair, a sign of his internal debate and frustration.
He would ignore the gnawing at his innards. It was nothing. It was just excitement at the thought to finally be free of Umbrella's clutches. That's all it was.
But Jill... Jill made him feel.
