What has become known as the "Orange Motif" started by The Godfather (1972) is the use of oranges to indicate an omen of death/danger in film. Point Break (1991) featured a seemingly random scene of a man trying to sell a bag of oranges to Johnny and Angelo moments before the "Ex Presidents" run in to rob the bank right behind Utah obliviously ordering sandwiches.
