Running into your fears
At a conference in Portland this year, Gary Hirsch from On Your Feet said something that really stuck. He was talking about the improv comic world and how at every performance the actors were simply "running into their fears". It resonated deeply. I've always wanted to write but I've been too afraid to take the first step. Thought it was a path full of potholes of humiliation because I didn't think I was good enough. Well, after months of stagnation, it's about time I starting running into my fear...high heels and all. It's not like I'm embarking on a literary masterpiece. Just a simple blog, on my favorite subjects - travel, food, fashion...and see we'll how it goes.
