Road Trip

     Sam was glad he’d found someone who could travel with him, someone who seemed a hell of a lot of fun too. He’d only known him for a week or so before they decided on the date and location.

     Gary picked Sam up at his apartment and they’d loaded the car with the necessities. Clean clothes, sleeping bags, a tent, airbeds and enough food to get them through the long journeys and of course Sam had taken his guitar along and enough CD’s to get them through the trip. Sam had the idea they’d have quite a lot in common and he was curious to find out about that, but he wasn’t too worried. He got along with pretty much anyone anyway.

Manchester Piccadilly

Samuel wasn't a nervous person. He met new people often and it wasn't too rare to meet up with strangest for the purpose he was meeting Gary today. He had only shared a few words with him. Careless, people would say. Living, Samuel would answer. What was dangerous about meeting someone at Manchester Piccadilly?

Today he had his guitar, a tambourine strapped to his foot, singing a song that was requested by a girl that couldn't be any older than ten. She was with someone that looked like her older sister. They'd put a two pound coin in his guitar case and he started playing, singing the words to their requested song: Hey Jude by the Beatles. Not a rare song to request, but a nice one nevertheless.

Halfway through the song, he saw a dark haired guy approach him, smile and wait near him, so that must be him, Gary. God, he was handsome-- maybe not the best of thoughts when he was mid-chorus.
