Joanne Kyger and Gary Snyder married in their little house near Daitoku-ji where they practiced Zen, Kyoto Summer 1963. I stayed with them 6 weeks on way from Benares to Vancouver for Poetry Conference with Olson & Creeley, been gone round the world since 1961. Gary'd been in Japan since 1956.
