So I was thinking that some of Gators deputy buddies definitely find out that way and give it a side eye at first but they also respect Gator and that he must know what he’s doing so they’ll warm up to it and maybe ask when he started seeing her. Then one day once you’re fully better and back at work you come by his office to see him for lunch because honestly you don’t care anymore at that point, half the town knows by now and you could’ve died so what else is there to lose? He meets you at the front and leads you to his office with a safe hand on the small of your back so you can sit in peace and he can pepper little kisses onto your skin whenever he feels like it, asking if you’re really feeling ok and that you shouldn’t overdo it. From that point on everybody at his precinct accepts it and gets used to seeing you around. With Roy on the other hand it’s a bit trickier because Gator instinctively wants to protect you and keep you away from his dad as he’s also thinking about making the transition over to your precinct and so you can finally move in together and live how you’re actually meant to. I think in a perfect fantasy world you two would somehow be able to keep it from him for a while. Maybe Gator only mentions that he’s seeing someone and once you’re engaged he lets his dad know and that no harm will come your way and he won’t change his mind because you’re it for him and he won’t let his dad ruin this.

Although a part of me would also love it if they still tried to hide it and act like nothing happened and no one’s seen them together, especially Gator might act as if he didn’t drive to you like a lunatic because he was so scared and you’d constantly tease him about it. I might have to think about it a little more hehe. What do you prefer?

I think it would be harder for Gator to let the secret slip, simply because of Roy and his perception of still needing his approval. I think you'd have your work cut out to finally get him to come around and show him that he doesn't need his approval for every aspect of his life. I could see that definitely being a sore spot and often ending in an argument or even a break up or two... Hello angst galore.

But after you got hurt? I think that's the turning point. He doesn't want to lose you and that's what finally gets him to say "fuck it and fuck Roy."

But then she and Gator have some Moment of some kind. Life just keep pushing them in situations. Of course she falls head over heels for Gator and both of them are baffled at how in love they become. They both let loose together, experiment a lot in love and sex, it's insane, spicy, romantic. She realizes that liking someone isn't enough when you know how love actually feels, so she willingly chooses Gator. Of course society (and their families) gets in their way and they have a hard time working things through, all that jazz.

I’m back with more of Gator and his secret “rival” deputy gf 🤭

Because just think about how he would get when there’s a huge case that both precincts have to work on so he expects to see you at work today but then he shows up at the scene when there’s a huge tumult and other deputies shouting and paramedics running around because YOU, his secret sweetheart/actual love of his life (but we’ll discuss that later) has been shot by the perp and got rushed to the hospital and he just hears about it from everyone around but can’t actually do anything about it. He’ll go so pale and feel his pulse in his ears and you know he’s breaking every traffic rule while driving to the hospital. He’s barking around orders, demanding nurses and doctors to tell him where you are, to fix you up immediately and he’s so scared, but as soon as he sees you coming out of surgery looking so fragile in the big bed he turns to mush and starts crying a little because He. Cannot. Loose. You!!!! And he has to kiss you right there to make sure you’re actually there and ok and he doesn’t care who can walk in and see because he loves youuuu. And idk, I just like a little angst in between the sexy sneaking around 🥹😈
