Time for celebration? Sunday will tell 😊It would be an honour for us to win the @gatoradetriathlonseries Club Champs two years in row. MTC and TA are not far behind so we will need to give it our best from 8am at Catani Gardens. We will have over 30 GPC athletes racing the last OD triathlon of the Victorian season which will also count as Victorian Champs OD 2017. We will have a guest of honour from 7am under our marquee. Andrew Jacobs from Pro4mance will be there to do sampling and to talk about their products to all GPC members. If you are racing this Sunday, feel free to grab a sample and talk to Andrew. The little kids raced this morning, the ITU kids are racing now & the big kids will be racing tomorrow from 6:30am for the @ironmanasiapac Australian Champs OD in Mooloolaba. Cannot wait to see what our 10 GPC members have in store tomorrow for this challenging course. There will also be 3 GPC members racing @eliteenergy_au Bendigo triathlon & over 25 racing @gatoradetriathlonseries in Portarlington. Coach Kate & I are in Mooloolaba so Coach Peri & Graham will be in Portarlington with our marquee to look after the squad. It is certainly a lot more than just winning for me. It is a good feeling to extend our club champs lead to 36 points against prestigious triathlon clubs like MTC and TA and so is the fact that we scored 13 podium spots today in Elwood for the @gatoradetriathlonseries race number 3. But the best part of my day was: -39 GPC athletes racing their guts out -Have two juniors athletes racing under my wing inc Alli B doing her first triathlon ever today -See Oscar H (junior) getting 3rd in his AG and 2nd best swim overall including the Elite -Watch Isabelle K finishing the Carmen's kids triathlon -Watch Mark H so proud to do a PB today after he got pulled out of the water on race 1 -See Dave C getting his first top 10 at Gatorade in his AG -Watch Andrew Mc on his first ever Gatorade podium -Get Wayne V back under my wings and racing again, 4 years after I stopped coaching him -Watch Renee N smashing it after suffering from bad vertigo for 3 weeks These are what made my day today. I hope I can have many more days like these in the future. Life is not worth living without strong emotions, highs of happiness and without loving what you do. That time of the year again! On Sunday, we will be racing for fun, to push our own limits and to keep our club championship lead against the big Melbourne clubs. This will also double up as a National Series Race to qualify for @worldtriathlon Championships in Holland in September this year.
