When I first heard about hipsters it meant someone who didn't like things that were cool only because they were cool. Now there's a lot of stigma around being a hipster that deals with fashion and music tastes, and then goes into how they could also be considered the new type of bohemian artists. But the word itself has been transformed so that it doesn't really mean anything other than a blatant insult. Goths grew into emos who became scene who are the new hipters. I think we should just be rad

Rad-ness and doing what you love is pretty much the conclusion I got to. Although, social scholars have lately been really interested in "hipsters" and the development of the culture especially. I think this is mainly because unlike a lot of punks goths and emos (not all, but most), hipsterism endures past teen years and can be seen in people in their mid to late 20's as well. There's also a surprising amount of talk about the origins of the term and, like you said, the lack of any real meaning in the word.

Catherine update:

On Sunday we (I say we because he plays and I help him figure out the puzzles and take over when he needs me to) got six hours into the game and so we're pretty much done. After we're caught up in school we're going to finish it. 

Boyfriend is answering questions pretty much according to his personal views, not what he thinks Vincent's views are, so I'm interested to see what kind of ending we get.

Personally, I hope both of the girls ditch Vincent. He's a pretty big jerk regardless of how good of a boyfriend you try to make him.

I'm also excited to find out what Jonny's deal is.

Jess, when you play can you give me updates on what your thoughts are of the game too? I also want to know which ending you get!
