Some Australian rock musicians should've been more famous. Hunters & Collectors, for instance, are an example of those that should have been more known outside Australia. I mean, they resemble U2, had the latter been from the land Down Under. Listen to the tune on the link to hear what I mean. One notices a certain swagger the Irish quartet had at the same time and one must also remember both of the groups debuted as the post-punk outfits. Yes, they also looked around their countries after a certain point to observe how their homelands actually influenced them. To continue with the comparison – U2 could only be their way thanks to them being from Ireland, while Hunters & Collectors were like they were thanks to Australia.
