BIG NEWS: Remember when we used to sell out every single Monday at @mollymalonesla with “Reeve Carney and The Revolving Band” before we became “CARNEY?!” 🎪 Yeah, um me too 🕴🏻 And I missed it. We missed it. And literally EVERY show I’ve had of my own the last 5 years (at El Rey, Troubadour, Hotel Cafe, you name it) I have people come up to me after to ask “soooo, um when are you gonna get the Revolving Band back together?” or “my husband/wife and I used to go see you guys EVERY Monday’s Molly Malones. It was our church.” Etc. Well, you asked, we realized it’s been 10 years since we’ve played a show as a band, and we all happen to be in town in May: SO WE’RE DOING IT!!!!! Since our last show in 2008 so many things have happened: 1) @pariscarney has toured with the Jonas Brothers, released her own solo music (under her name AND her new artist name @oneillhudsonsings) and written songs with so many frigging people (@beamiller and sooooo many others) 2) @reevecarney has become a legit Broadway Star, portrayed Dorian Gray on #Showtime’s @pennydreadful and released an award winning Independant debut solo record 3) @cmuzic has toured with EVERYONE AND THEIR MOM (@jossstone @raphael_saadiq @jonnylangband @andradaymusic the list goes on...) and he even opened for my at @elreytheatre as a solo artist! 4) @gavindrums has become a go-to session drummer maniac on so many incredible projects and is basically the best tonal drummer on the planet now #nbd (oh, and he now has a BEAUTIFUL baby boy!) 5) I’ve been doing all sorts of random things. Played with @johnmayer (as most of you know), been writing with and playing for @avrillavigne, releases a couple solo records and have toured Asia, Europe and America as a solo artist (you know the deal you follow meeeeeee) Long story longer: THIS SHOW IS GONNA SELL OUT SOON.
