Hey so just a disclaimer because someone told me that I removed Jayfeather's blindness; his eyes are at no point described as cloudy in the books and most blind cats without cataracts at most have dilated pupils. Not all blindness is obviously visible. Nothing wrong with clouded eyes as a shorthand but there's also nothing wrong with the alternative.

I remember I was going to do a design post for Hollyleaf, Lionblaze & Jayfeather a while back, but I never actually finished making that post and it is still collecting dust in my drafts to this day. My headcanons & personal designs for them have changed a bit since then, so I want to eventually redo that post.

Anyways I was drawing a little Jayfeather for a thing, so here's a headshot of him. One design detail that I kept from my old design his eye markings. I was really attached to the false eye markings and the cheetah tears. I just really like the concept of Jayfeather having his eyes closed most of the time, but having his eyes open when he's dreaming.

The false eye marking may not be realistic, but it's cool so it's a design detail I'm keeping lol
